[11/19/2009] I use SCA for integrating my shopping cart into Quickbooks as well as for Shipping (Endicia & Fed Ex).
The software is awesome - it automatically enters all the financial data in QB. And it automatically generates the shipping labels.
It was really easy to set up and my contact at JTA was always accessible for training, set up (we had to make changes to some of our files) and adding other features.
I highly recommend the software/company.

[09/21/2009] Support staff is slow, unresponsive, and flaky. Ultimately in 2 years since I purchased Shopping Cart Assistant version 2006 I have yet to be able to import any orders using it. Unfortunately for me I do not have any recourse to get my money back. If you choose to purchase this software make sure to try to get it configured quickly, so that if JTA does not get it working in a satisfactory manner you reserve the option to dispute the charge with your credit card company.

[09/06/2008] When I bought the software, support worked with me until it was working and they were great! After a year something stopped working with the credit card processing part of the program and they wanted $40/hr to work with me to fix it. After several tries, which I doubt amounted to an hour of their time, I was told they couldn't find the problem so now I download credit card info into SCA then cut and paste the card # into my online card processing program. Definitely not a timesaver. Was very disappointed in support-no help files anywhere, no response to emails or phone calls when I was having problems. Don't like downloading each order individually into SCA but am not sure if that is a function of the shopping cart my web site uses. Now that my customer base is up, I want to download batches to save time.

[07/08/2007] This program has great potential but it is overshadowed by rude and unprofessional service. Buyers will be sorely disappointed by their inability to get support. Nothing in the way of support is available online. Don't waste your dollars. This application has been in existence for at least 5 years and not once have they had any Help files available. While we used it for about 2 years or so, we found the support sorely lacking.

With one button it populates my Quickbooks accounting software and generates a sales receipt, while also adding the customer to my Outlook contacts, and at the same time sending the information to Endicia to automatically generate a USPS shipping label. Now that is cool! Integrating it took some time, but it was well worth it. The support was fantastic. I recommend it for anyone with a decent working knowledge of software. Jim

[08/15/2006] After being disappointed with Shopsite download for QuickBooks, we were delighted to find Shopping Cart Assistant (SCA). Our data entry time has been dramatically reduced. We currently download our Shopsite orders to a file that we import into SCA then easily export the data into QuickBooks and, at the same time create a file to export to USPS for ClickNShip labels. We also download and import the eBay sales history CSV files of our sold items into SCA then export the data into QuickBooks and create a ClickNShip label file. Some basic technical knowledge is needed for using this program, such as knowing where your files are downloaded and where to find them. Also, SCA must be updated whenever there are updates to QuickBooks Item List and Shipping methods to ensure the orders import successfully into QuickBooks and adjust the appropriate accounts. We are planning other uses for this great tool and expect the staff to respond quickly to our request as they always have in the past.

[06/04/2006] Had to reinstall SCA and have been trying for months to get it to work properly. No online support pages, etc. They used to be a great company. LOUSY customer service.
Program was great until I had to reinstall it and needed the script. You would think they would save their scripts so they wouldn't have to re-write whenever someone needed to integrate their shopping cart with QuickBooks.
All the features seem great but we have never been able to use them all because there are no directions available on the site or elsewhere.

[04/25/2006] I purchased this product almost two months ago and I still do not have it working completely. They needed to write a custom script file to make their program work with my shopping cart but I still do not have a bug free working version yet. The software while useful and very customizable is buggy and there is no in-program or online help documentation available for it yet. They keep saying that they are still creating it. I feel like I paid nearly $300 to beta test what they call a full release application. The customer service department is a bit rude and they have given me an attitude on a few occasions for asking too many question about how to use different features of the application, what other choice do I have when there is NO help files available? I also get put of hold frequently when in the middle of a call for no apparent reason, presumable so they can answer other incoming calls, again rude and unprofessional. Customer service is also full of empty ended promises. I’ve been told several times that they would call me back with and answer or email me a file and then a week later I’ve heard nothing from them! I don’t recommend wasting your time with these people!

[04/15/2006] I have been trying for several weeks to set up this software. If documentation were provided, I would happily set the software up myself. However, you must contact the company for assistance with setting up the software. This would be fine, if proper assistance were provided. When a customer service rep. from this company did contact me, I was treated poorly when I was unable to locate a file needed for the set up. I felt rushed to find the file, and I was told that I could not be helped if I could not find the file. After the customer service rep. abruptly got off the phone with me, I was able to find the file. I immediately called back to finish the set up, but my phone call was answered by voice mail. So I left a voice mail. Over the following 2 weeks I have left voice mail and I have sent emails requesting help. No one from the company has tried to contact me. It has been very frustrating, and I plan to request a refund. Don't spend your money on this software.

[10/18/2005] It took a little effort working with JTA to get SCA integrated with our shopping cart: Click Cart Pro, but once we got it worked out, it has been an incredible time saver and works excellent. JTA was extremely helpful getting the program set up and we did have special requirements due to discounts, etc that are not standard shopping cart fare.

[06/19/2004] The Shopping Cart Assistant saves me hours and hours every day. As the owner of a Yahoo! Store, we need to move our data between the store, QuickBooks and UPS several times a day. Before Shopping Cart Assistant I was cutting and pasting and causing errors for our website and our customers. Now, packages and confirmation emails get to the right person and QuickBooks can be kept up to date. The Technical Support that comes with Shopping Cart Assistant is the BEST I've seen. They have spent hours with me trouble shooting and setting up a system that meets our needs. I highly recommend it!

The development team has provided exceptional support even when I have made changes to the invoice forms. Dollar for dollar, this was one of the best software investments that I have ever made. It saves hundreds of hours manually entering invoices. Kudo's to the WIO team! I can import 20 orders into QuickBooks in less than 5 minutes. How do I rate a 10 for the service part of this? :=)

[12/26/2003] After owning a Yahoo Store since May 2000, last year we purchased Shopping Cart Assistant, after being highly recommended by other Yahoo Store Owners. Support with SCA was incredible. Jose of SCA answered our questions and calls usually within a few minutes, and walked us through the setup. And then with the SCA upgrade about six months ago, SCA actually improved to the point where we no longer have to enter even one keystroke to create complete invoices in QuickBooks! SCA is amazing! We can export our files directly from Yahoo Store Manager into SCA and within seconds all invoices are automatically created in QuickBooks in complete form, not needing any other task than to simply hit the "Print" Button. SCA has been very reliable and has performed flawlessly. This software is not only a great value for the price but is an incredible time saver!

[10/28/2003] We had been hand-entering orders from our web store, and it got to the point that the time spent for this was absurd. The SCA has reduced order entry to minutes, rather than hours, and has eliminated the errors that were inevitable when hand-entering. Also, now there's no need to pay someone overtime for this chore! Now, time that used to be spent entering orders is more productively used fulfilling orders and improving customer service.
Jose is an absolute genius! The SCA is a must for anyone that sells online and needs to process the orders in QuickBooks. Setup with Jose only took about a half hour, and we're now able to import our online sales with just three clicks: 1) click to copy the order from the shopping cart sales reports, 2) click to import into the SCA, and 3) click to import into QuickBooks.
The SCA is so easy, it's magic! I just wish we had been using it for the tens of thousands of orders we've already hand-entered!!

[10/08/2003] SCA, Shopping Cart Assistant sports an upgrade that will help Companies that use QuickBooks and have an eCommerce web site. When we first started our web transactions, it was quickly evident that there had to be a better way of getting the information from our eCommerce transactions into QuickBooks. After searching the internet high and low, we settled upon Shopping Cart Assistant.
Once set up, this application extracts the customer data from emails that our shopping carts sends, and sends them into QuickBooks. If you are using QuickBooks Premiere, it will now create sales orders. This is very good for companies that sell products that they manufacture. If you do not use Premiere, you can have SCA simply put the information into an Invoice with a status of "pending".
Though we do not use all the features of SCA, it will also help you in the shipping of your products by generating shipping information compatible with the major shipping companies.
In the mode we mostly use the application in, a typical session involves opening the emails that we receive from our eCommerce web site. Then, we click on one button that imports the orders into SCA. Then, you select the orders you wish to send to QuickBooks and click another button. When you look at QuickBooks, the orders are now in the application and you've just clicked a few buttons. This save hours of time from when we had to manually enter the orders in to QuickBooks.
The setup for the application is rather involved but the people at JTA consulting pretty much hold your hand through the entire process. In fact, the level of service that you get from them is rather amazing and once the application is set up, usage is as simple as it gets.
The only down side to the application we had was that it would crash when our customers either put in unexpected data into the orders or left a critical piece of information out. However, the superior customer service got us through these problems quickly. So, I would say that one need not worry about operational problems with the application because any problems you may encounter will be dealt with by JTA.
What's all this mean? If you need a quick way to get your order information from your eCommerce solution into your book keeping application (SCA is also compatible with several book keeping apps) you can't go wrong with Shopping Cart Assistant.

[12/05/2002] After seriuosly considering completely changing our shopping cart, we realized the best alternative would be to use SCA. Jose has worked overtime tweaking the program to work for our shopping cart. It is now almost 100% perfect and I can't tell you how many hours of data input we have saved.
We download orders off our storefront and within a 2 minutes they are transferred 100% to QuickBooks. No more errors on order numbers or shipping addresses! Then another 30 seconds, all shipping info is transferred to UPS!
So not only is this great with QuickBooks - it's great with UPS as well. BRAVO to the Write It Once team!

[12/01/2002] I gave this program a negative review about a year ago. The program did not support my shopping cart and I had problems getting JTA Consulting’ to add my cart. After about a month of no responses and delayed deadlines I wrote the negative review. Since that time the program has been updated and now supports my shopping cart.
I now recommend the program. I have come to rely on the program a lot. I recently upgraded my cart and can't use the program until the new cart is added. I didn't realize how much I missed this program until now.
Beware the program is not the easiest to setup, but once the program is setup it is a real time saver. You can import orders with just a few clicks. I do recommend you check to make sure your cart is supported because the support is still not great. If you can reach them by phone they are really helpful, sometimes they fail to return your call or emails.
I also wish they would make upgrades available through the program. They are adding new carts and features all the time but you have to contact them to gain access to the upgrade. As mentioned above this is not always easy to do.

Previously, transferring Internet order information between our shopping cart software and QuickBooks took hours, as we painstakingly re-entered each customer's contact information and their product order information.
But now Shopping Cart Assistant simply captures or imports our customer order information directly from our shopping cart software and then imports it directly into QuickBooks -- the entire process takes about 5 minutes, re-keying this data in every day was taking about 2-3 hours. All the customer order information is already populated with QuickBooks invoices and sales receipts, so we simply print the batch of sales receipts that Shopping Cart Assistant imported into QuickBooks, and we're ready to start shipping orders.
We were especially impressed that the makers of Shopping Cart Assistant, worked with us by phone to ensure that we knew how to use the product, had the product installed and configured correctly and helped troubleshoot any problems we ran into.

Jose at Write It Once has walked me through any questions or concerns that I have had. I find the order process to quick and simple. I have use Shopping Cart Assistant 2002 two different ways. Initially I used it with our order emails. It would capture all the information from the email for the clients. Then process the information into QuickBooks Pro 2002 and then an invoice would be created. Now I am using it with a file process. I will capture all the information from a file created on our website. Process the information then into QuickBooks Pro 2002 again an invoice is created. Our company can now do a larger volume with a simple process.

[05/28/2002] Shopping Cart Assistant (SCA) is a great program that handles data conversion very well. We are using it to convert a sales order data file that is received via our shopping cart. We use SCA to take this data file and automatically import it to our QuickBooks Pro 2002 accounting program.
The layout of the program is very easy to understand and has been designed for ease of use and efficient operations. Buttons and fields are labeled logically.
Support has been very good as well. We have received clear and concise answers to all of our questions and the company usually gets back to us in less than 24 hours. Our data import required a small bit of customization in order to properly import all the data fields. This was handled quickly by the folks at SCA. The company even assisted us in setting up and testing this modification, and did this at no extra charge.
In all, we highly recommend Shopping Cart Assistant.

I was entering in invoice information and UPS shipping information separately, but with this program I am no able to download directly from my Ebay Billpoint account items that have been paid and that are eligible to ship. With this software, I am able to create a Quickbooks invoice and a UPS shipping manifest at the same time. Great product and after sale service!

[03/29/2002] This program saved my client - who had to figure out someway to input the online orders from his shopping cart automatically into quickbooks 2002. Unfortunately, his shopping cart's quickbooks download only created invoices in quickbooks that entered receivables, which he didn't want since these orders were paid for online. Also, this program's download to quickbooks did not put the customer information into the customer database - so he could not print out labels, etc.
We found Shopping Cart Assistant, and working with Jose my client configured the program so that it now takes the csv download from the online store (which is in two different files), combines them into one file that can be imported into quickbooks 2002, takes out the old orders that have already been entered into quickbooks, and creates a file that can be imported into quickbooks so that it creates the customer record in the customer database, cash sales (rather than invoice, so no receivable), and with the help of the Stamps program, he can print out his lables along with postage for the orders (the Stamps online program integrates with the Shopping Cart Assistant to do this).
My client was almost giddy with relief after it all got configured and was working - this program took care of a bunch of his back office problems he had with inputting his online orders into his accounting programs. And Jose was very helpful in working with him to set up the program. The program does need to be customized so that it will work with the data your shopping cart outputs, and then properly create the data files necessary for your order processing or accounting programs. It took my client a few hours working with Jose to get it all configured properly, but from then on he is set and really happy with the way the program works at getting the data into quickbooks 2002.

[03/29/2002] This I would have to say was the search of the year on Yahoo. I got so fed up with inputing data one night so I decided to do a wild search on Yahoo hoping maybe there is a solution out there. Did a few searches and came back with nothing, then I tried "shopping cart"+accounting and the SCA site came up and that was the end of my search.
For every 100 order I get, it USED to take me 4 to 5 hours to input and re-input all that data into Quickbooks, FedEx shipping system and had to type up every item of each order into a Word file to send to our supplier.
This Shopping Cart Assistant program can do it all in 5 min. It does 4 task, Quickbooks, FedEx, Print packing slips and generate a text file with all the products of each order on it.
Absolutely AMAZING!
I want thank Jose for his time and patient in helping me configure the program to work with our specific needs.
