[09/29/2011]  We are an Intuit Solutions Provider and we were hired by a client to integrate this with QBES. The client was already using MOM and had just purchased QBES. They had both phone orders as well as internet orders that were processed by MOM. Our involvement with MOM was primarily in the integration and flow of information to QuickBooks. There are two primary methods of integrating MOM with QuickBooks. GL level & individual transaction level. The GL level appeared to work fine, but we encountered multiple design problems with integrating on an individual transaction basis. Information did not appear to consistently come across to QuickBooks from MOM and it took a great deal of work with their support figure many of these issues out. Unfortunately, the support staff didn't appear to be very well versed with the integration portion and we had to let them know the areas that were having issues. We eventually had to provide them with a license of our QuickBooks ES so they could troubleshoot issues as they didn't have the software themselves. While we were working through many of the issues, our client eventually decided to sever the integration because they had lost confidence that it would work right. "What's the next problem that will come up once we solve this one?" I believe that the issue that was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back was an issue with unique identifiers. MOM uses account numbers as the unique identifier but will allow you to sync customer name as the link in QuickBooks. Unfortunately, if you have two John Smiths with different account numbers, MOM would try to sync them both with one record in QuickBooks. The support at Dydacomp wasn't initially clear on why this was a problem and they suggested going into each new customer and manually changing the name to also include the account number (ie: John Smith 123456). This would have been painstaking solely for phone orders, but literally impossible with internet orders. During this process, they also upgraded versions of MOM to hopefully resolve some of the issues, and paid a hefty amount to do so. I felt that much of the time support was playing catch up when I believe that they should be aware of these issues within their software rather than waiting for a consultant to point out the problems. Eventually it felt that they just wanted the problem to go away rather than genuinely working to solve my client's issue. I've been told by the client that the program is decent to use, which is why they went through all the effort to make this work, but unfortunately the integration on a detail level was unusable.
