[04/22/2011] Auto Build Assemblies has saved us countless hours and money. We use this software for building assemblies automatically every night and for setting all of the assembly costs equal to the Bill of Materials whenever we purchase new product (coffee). The setup and learning curve was quick and easy with a phone call to support. With the latest update, in which the software remembers our settings, we don't even have to touch the Excel file which interacts with the Auto Build Assemblies software. I just found out today that there is another feature - a listing of all the assemblies where a given inventory part is used - which I will be able to use for an unrelated project I am working on. It's well worth the price!

[04/21/2011] We have always struggled with how un-user friendly building assemblies is in Quickbooks. We road tested several marketplace products and although this is one of the more expensive it is far superior, easy to use, user friendly and the support you get is second to none.
We build assemblies in large batches (sometimes 5 - 10,000 at a time), it took hours to enter them, mistakes were made in the entry (and not to easy to double check) and it was really hard to review the components used in each assembly and know if you were missing assembly items required for a build etc. This programme does all that and more. If you are building assemblies like we do you simply enter your initial build requirements onto a spreadsheet (so very easy to check for errors) and run the programme. It then builds the assemblies it can and tells you if you are missing any items needed to complete the build and exactly what they are and how many (it also lists this product by product). You can then either build these (if they are sub-assemblies) or order them in etc. When these items are received into stock you run the programme again and it quietly builds them for you - job done! You can also view a line by line BOM for each product in your catalogue – very helpful indeed.
We did find a little bug in the software and were told of a simple workaround immediately. We then got an email a few weeks later saying the bug had been fixed and how we could download an up to date copy. Brilliant!
We couldn't recommend this product highly enough. We are also a UK based user and it works perfectly with the UK version of Quickbooks Pro.
