How is inventory synchronized between QuickBooks and my ProductCart-powered e-commerce store?
At any time you can synchronize inventory between QuickBooks and ProductCart using the corresponding feature. This is a one-way synchronization that updates inventory levels in the shopping cart based on the current levels in your QuickBooks Financials company file. When an order is placed, inventory is updated immediately in ProductCart. Inventory is not updated in QuickBooks, since it will be updated automatically when an order is imported as an invoice or a sales receipt into QuickBooks.
Is this an import/export tool?
No, it allows true synchronization between your QuickBooks company file and your ProductCart-powered electronic ecommerce store. For example, you can schedule your desktop to download orders every 5 minutes from the shopping cart - based on the current order status (e.g. "pending" orders are not downloaded) - and import them into QuickBooks as invoices or sales receipts.
What do I need to use the ProductCart Synchronizer?
You need to use ProductCart for your e-commerce store. If you are currently using another shopping cart program, you can move to ProductCart rather easily as this powerful shopping cart software contains many tools to import products, categories, customers, etc. You will then need a license of the Synchronizer. Of course, you also need to be a QuickBooks user :-)
What is the cost of using this product? Is this a service with a monthly fee?
This is licensed software. If you already have a ProductCart-powered store, the cost is $495 for a license of the Synchronizer. If you are not currently using ProductCart, you will also need a ProductCart license. Licenses for our shopping cart software start at $695 per store.
