Method CRM - v flexible
Mike Fieldhouse
Overall Rating:
[09/30/2011] Been using Method for 2 years - it works very well with Quickbooks and offers a lot of flexibility in setting up your CRM system. Just upgraded to the latest version which adds even more features. Only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that as I'm based in the UK I had to make significant changes from $ to ?

[08/04/2011] Our office QuickBooks was acting up today and because of Method I was able to log out of QuickBooks- do some work on the file- during business hours and still take calls and answers questions through Method. The one person that doubts Method the most was the one with the questions.. He could not figure out what I was doing but he got his answers.. I got QuickBooks fixed and I did not have to stay after 5pm!! We also have(had) an office in Dubuque IA(his office is gone from the flood last week) that is only using Method and his office is gone but he can still access Method so he was able to continue to work with his customers YEAH!!

Method CRM

[07/21/2011] The ability to keep a lead separate from a customer, as well as the ability to turn a lead easily into a customer is key. You can also have multiple contacts for each customer, and easily use roles to set up users. I love the navigation. This app is a winner for CRM and instant 2-directional syncing with desktop QB!

Can QuickBooks really do that?

Overall Rating:
[03/18/2011] I remember listening to a webinar by Joe Woodard where he named the things we all wish QuickBooks could do and how they were possible with Method. Since then, the list of things Method can do has grown very long.
Of all the Method Editions, I use the Method CRM Edition the most. I love that it syncs with both Outlook and QuickBooks. Method CRM is the solution for businesses that start with leads who turn into customers. All the information on both is kept there in Method so that one doesn't have to go back and forth between QuickBooks and Outlook. Not only does that save time, but it also prevents errors.
The other feature I appreciate about Method is the ability to restrict access so that the users only see the screens that they need to use. I have a client who uses Method so that their clerk (who does not have access to the QuickBooks file) can enter invoices from the internet. Her access is restricted to the invoice screen and the customer screen. In a time when sensitive data needs to be protected, Method adds a measure of security that business owners don't get with just QuickBooks alone.
I would highly recommend the Method CRM Edition.

Method CRM: A Must Have!

[03/09/2011] Method CRM enables principals and staff to be fully informed in all issues relating to their areas of responsibility: including Customers, Vendors, Leads, Opportunities and Activities. It works within Outlook (2007 & higher) to sync or create new data and has bi-directional real time syncing with QuickBooks.
You never need to re-enter data and it is fully customizable based on the user’s needs. We use it in our consulting firm and highly recommend it to our clients.

The Finest QuickBooks Integrated CRM Available
svanrooyen@wynsolutions.com
Overall Rating:
[03/04/2011] We use Method in our consulting firm and also consult with clients to set the product up, customize it, and provide ongoing support. First of all, Method extends all available QuickBooks fields to the web allowing you to enter QuickBooks transactions such as estimates, invoices, sales orders, etc, etc. on the web. Then, it allows unlimited customization to add information and processes that are unique to your business. Integration with QuickBooks is a real-time synchronization, rather than manual exports and imports. Take a look at http://wynsolutions.com and click on "News & Blog" and then click on the Method Integration tag for more information about what we think about the product.

[03/01/2011] Method is the first CRM I've used that out of the box sync's with my QuickBooks data automatically. The Method "Listner" engine was extremely easy to setup and install. The new Client Portal is an added bonus so clients can contact me through e-mail as well as pay their balance. Truly a unique way to manage CRM workflow.

Interesting at first, a pain to use.

Overall Rating:
[02/22/2011] We wanted to try Method CRM to see how well it would fit, as its feature set seemed pretty impressive. While the idea of customizing everything is great, this product looks like it's from the mid-90s both in function and design, and rather than doing one thing really well, does many things poorly. Beyond getting Method to work correctly, it's a pain to use. Virtually every aspect of the UI is quirky, extremely slow, needs to run in "Compatibility Mode" in IE, and is haphazardly organized and inconsistent, and there is virtually no support documentation available from their web site. The only help comes from hours of webinars that require a proprietary GoToMeating format to view. Front-line staff are moderately knowledgable in IT, but when it comes to integrating Method with our accounting needs, all we get access to is the customer support forum, where the answers are vague. If we wanted to get actual support from a living person, we would have to pay $125/hour for it upfront. While Method offers attractive initial pricing and feature set, the burdens of installing and using it, as well as the support/customization cost, makes Method less attractive.

Very pleased with web based CRM

[02/07/2011] We required a product that was web based and would let us login to view CRM data, quotes and invoicing, company-wide from remote locations. Within a few months, we’d customized screens to reflect our company processes and implementation amongst staff was very well-received. Although we’re presently not using all of Method CRM’s robust features, we’ve been easing in added functionality and employees are responding well to such changes. Method has all the key features we need, and without needing a developer to make it our own (the forums, webinars and documentation were all I used to get customizations underway), it really is a standout product that nearly anyone could benefit from using. I love it, employees really like it and our operations have improved drastically.

CRM with superior QuickBooks Integration

Overall Rating:
[02/03/2011] My cleaning company was looking for a web-based CRM solution that allowed us to easily track prospect clients as well as monitor customer feedback. QuickBooks integration was high on my priority scale and I’ll admit that I was a bit skeptical about exactly how good Method’s syncing really was. Many CRM solutions claim that have real time sync but after seeing various demos, none compared to what Method sync engine was doing. The staff provided an informative demo and I felt like I got an added bonus when the topic of customization came up. I didn’t really think I would ever customize my screens but 6 months later, I have already customized my opportunity tracking screen to collect information that my business needs. Their support is awesome and if you take the time to ask questions on the forum, it’s free! I loved that it wasn’t just users on the forum but actual Method staff! Price point is on par, in some cases much cheaper than competitive products. Plus, they are always releasing new things like most recently, web forms. If you’re looking for something that will grow with your needs check them out. John.

Seemed Decent, BUT...never really got to find out if it works.
Looking at Alternatives
Overall Rating:
[10/29/2010] (note: that this is more of a review of the company since we did not have a chance to fully evaluate the product)
We downloaded this product for evaluation and were initially impressed at how easily we got QB data integrated and online. It was slow navigating compared to other cloud solutions we use, but not unusably so.
Ultimately, we never saw any functionality out of the box other than being able to see our contacts and some QB data online.
When it comes to most anything else, if you are a small business without an IT department, you can count on some big upfront expenses with a developer. In their defense, they offered an online tour but no assistance with any true customization.
Worst part for me was that I had to schedule a business trip for 10 days out of my free 30 day trial. Since the company refused to extend my 30 day offering to at least give me a chance to check out the product, regrettably I got nowhere.
To me, it was a total turn-off that they were not flexible in working with me to allow our company to actually try the product. I figure if that is their attitude now, what would it be like if I need support down the line.

Thumbs Up for Method Integration
Overall Rating:
[09/04/2010] Since returning to Quickbooks, we needed to find a software solution that would run our business, while fully integrating with Quickbooks.
The Intuit Marketplace website is loaded with many worthwhile products, including Method Integration.
Initially we were sceptical about Method's claims that their product is fully customizable, but after using Method I am a true believer.
Think of anything you need for your business... anything. Method can probably do it for you.
You'll have to invest some time to learn how to work the product (like any product), but the investment is well worth it!
