Do I need magnetic MICR toner for my laser printer to print checks with GCFormer?
Yes. MICR toner and blank check paper are available via a convenient link at our web site. Though many banks use optical scanners to read checks, and thereby standard laser printer toner would suffice, we recommend MICR toner unless you are certain that your bank does not use a magnetic reader for checks.

Can GCFormer be used to sign pre-printed checks?
Yes. GCFormer Account Records can be set up to add digital signatures to pre-printed checks. When you run out of pre-printed checks, you can quickly change the set up to handle blank check stock. You can also set an upper limit on the check amount, forcing signatures by hand for larger amounts.

Can GCFormer be used by QuickBooks Payroll Service subscribers to print Advice of Deposit for direct deposit employees?
Yes. GCFormer recognizes Advice of Deposit print jobs and replaces the MICR line with the text "Advice of Deposit".

Does GCFormer keep an audit trail of checks that are printed?
Yes. GCFormer maintains a CSV text file for checks that are printed. The file is easily imported into Microsoft Excel.
