Most of the accountants use General Journal Entry in QuickBooks and most of the times they confront themselves with cases when manual data entry is the only solution. Dynamic Ventures General Journal Entry was designed to eliminate this time-consuming habit: the application will create General Journal Entries with data imported automatically from an Excel file.
Why using Dynamic Ventures General Journal Entry?
1. The entire process is automated:
Dynamic Ventures General Journal Entry will do all the work: it will transfer data from the Excel file into QuickBooks and will create General Journal Entries with the imported information. Thus, a lot of time will be saved and the effort for introducing in QuickBooks all the data manually is eliminated.
2. Easy to use:
The user needs to perform three simple actions: access a sub-menu in QuickBooks, specify the path to the Excel file and click the ‘Import’ button.
3. Errors are excluded:
Before the actual import, the application will read the data and validate it; more precisely, the validation process will ensure that all the data that appears in the Excel file also exists in QuickBooks, and the Excel file is correctly filled in. In case that any error is found, a report will be generated allowing the user to review the error case and correct it.
How it works:
Before running the plug-in, the user has to make sure that your QuickBooks company file contains the same information as the one displayed in the Excel file and that the Excel file is correctly completed.
After have installed the application, the user will access a sub-menu in QuickBooks, then select the Excel file to be imported and finally click the ‘Import’ button.
Next, Dynamic Ventures General Journal Entry will read the data from the Excel file and validate it. If any error is encountered, it will be reported; in this way the user will have the possibility to correct this mistake. If no error is present, the application will create General Journal Entries with the newly-imported data. Following the import, a General Journal Entry will contain information about the Account, Name, Debit Amount, Credit Amount, Date, Memo, Ref Number plus Class (the last one, if it is the case).
