As a QuickBooks integrated application, Commission Calculator automatically retrieves all data necessary to calculate commissions directly from your QuickBooks file. No need to enter your data twice.
Initially, all sales reps are retrieved and set to receive the Standard Commission (a percent of sales or payments). For most, once you have entered the applicable percent and selected whether your commissions are based on sales or payments, you’re ready to calculate commissions. It’s that fast and easy!
If you have some sales reps whose commissions are calculated in a different way, you can individually change their commission type to meet those criteria. Other available commission types include (a) a different percent of sales or payments unique to each sales rep (a Standard Commission unique to each sales rep), (b) a percent of sales or payments within a QuickBooks Class, (c) a percent of sales or payments for one or more selected Jobs, or (d) a fixed dollar commission. You can also exclude one or more sales reps from your commission calculations. And with the standard commission types, you can optionally specify a minimum of sales or payments that must be attained before the sales rep qualifies for commissions and/or a different level at which the commission calculation begins.
Commission Calculator also allows you to exclude one or more QuickBooks Items from your commission calculations. Like the sales reps, sales and payments, your Items are automatically retrieved from your QuickBooks file and presented to you in a list. You then simply select the Item(s) you want to exclude (or deselect Items previously selected for inclusion). This is ideal for excluding Items such as Shipping.
You can also set up Job sharing where more than one sales rep can receive commissions on sales or payments on the same Job. And it allows you to exempt certain Jobs from commissions.
With all this flexibility, Commission Calculator can handle the most complex of commission calculations.
Each time you calculate commissions, you receive a detailed report showing, for each of your sales reps, each invoice issued or paid and the amount, the total amount and the amount of commission. And you can specify that each sales rep begin on a new page for easy and confidential distribution.
