GoDaddy's Claims of Quickbooks Integration - Misleading
Rich S.
Overall Rating:
[01/14/2012] Buyer beware. GoDaddy’s Quick Shopping Cart does not really integrate with QuickBooks! Truth be told it ports very little in the way of useful business information into QuickBooks. I purchased Quick Shopping Cart and QuickBooks as a Business package two years ago when GoDaddy advertised that Quick Shopping Cart provided “Seamless Integration” with QuickBooks. It did not take very long to realize that Quick Shopping Cart feeds QuickBooks sales receipts only. Purchases made at Quick Shopping Cart do not adjust Quickbooks inventory, update customer databases, assist with shipping, or perform any other beneficial business functions.
After contacting GoDaddy with these concerns it is interesting to note that they ceased advertising seamless integration as a feature of Quick Shopping Cart. Instead of improving their product to provide the QuickBooks integration that they touted they teamed with a third party vendor to bring real integration with QuickBooks. This third party software costs hundreds of dollars and requires hundreds more in annual support fees. There are some attractive features included in Quick Shopping Cart, and their customer support department is top notch but GoDaddy is really missing the mark if they are courting serious online entrepreneurs.
QuickBooks is incredibly powerful as a business tool. Anyone exploring which shopping cart software to integrate with QuickBooks should avoid GoDaddy Quick Shopping Cart. There are a number of solid performers in the shopping cart market that can provide actual business integration features with QuickBooks. GoDaddy lead many customers down a path by advertising something that their product could not provide. Legal minds familiar with Truth in Advertising laws would find GoDaddy’s claims of seamless Quickbooks integration an interesting case study.

[11/19/2010] I purchased some web hosting, and domain related products from Godaddy just over a year ago, and I cannot tell you how mad I am to be a customer.
Not only have I experienced a great deal of problems with their user interface, as well as other aspects of their products, but their customer service is absolutely incompetent, and was not able to resolve my problems at all. Furthermore since I have tried to change providers, it’s going to cost me over 10 times my initial investment, just to get out of Godaddy’s service.
They’re tricky, it’s not really a contract service, so they're not that kind of fees, but basically I have to pay it, or else I lose my websites.
I’d suggest exploring some other options
