The GBMS Manufacturing and Distribution Suite is designed to reduce operating cost for companies that manufacture and distribute products.
We offer the Geneva Business Management Systems® (GBMS)Manufacturing And Distribution bar code-based solution to transform your maze of paper trails, operations and transactions into easily accessible, simplified procedures. GBMS’ automated data collection provides real-time information so you can easily and immediately find the accurate status of your products, operations and employees.
Users can define detailed bill of material (BOM) information and revisions for each manufactured item, with strong Lot / Serial tracking capability from the raw materials to the finished goods. The SFC module sub-contracting feature allows purchase orders to be generated directly from a work order to track services that are out-sourced to sub-contract vendors.
Receive precise, up-to-date information on every work order, lot and part, at each stage of production
The three basic pieces of the SFC module are:
• Work Orders - Can be planned, forecasted, or automatically created. Routings for work orders are revision controlled to make changes easer and manufacturing has the ability to use a configurator help manage the process of changes in production. Labor tracking allows workers to just log on to jobs and well automatically log then off a work order when they log onto the next.
• Operation Completion - The ability to track quantity and status of manufactured items moving through the shop floor gives you complete visibility of the work order and all cost associated with it through all operations.
• Return Materials Authorization – Connects all disposition, work order, Cross-shipment, sales order and credit information.
At the end of the manufacturing process, users can print a finished goods label, including graphics and serial / lot information. They can also define a custom label design for each item according to its particular physical size and information requirements.
Replacing much of the manual and keyboard record-keeping process, the SFC module takes advantage of RF hand-held devices or wedge scanners for fast, efficient barcode data collection on the shop floor. Companies can integrate the SFC module with either the GBMS WMS module or a third-party warehouse management or ERP system. The SFC module can also incorporate the GBMS Attendance and Labor functionality.
Work Order Maintenance - Manually or automatically generate work orders. Define work order details, such as BOM and routing, at the item level. Also, specify additional operation and scheduling information, including notes, warehouse, order priority, quantity to build, scheduled start and completion dates, etc.
Operation Completion and Scrap Reporting - Set up the shop floor to report quantities being built at specific steps in the production process. GBMS instantly logs the operation completion history in the work order transaction screen, letting users view real-time information on work order status.
Sub-Contracting - Issue purchase orders directly from a work order and track materials shipped to Sub-contractors with the ability to print all the related shipping documents and labels.
Component Tracking (Product Genealogy) - Track the complete history of finished goods from components. Capture additional serial or lot-specific data for each tracking number. Record even more information with user-defined prompts.
Operations - Pre-define an unlimited number of operations that can be quickly accessed from routing configuration.
Routing - Pre-define routing and assign it to items prior to work order entry. Or, set up the routing during order creation. Restrict routings to particular enterprise dimensions, item categories, or item numbers.
Work Centers - Pre-define operations with default work centers. Schedule the next available work center based on number of pieces or hours.
