Tenrox QB Pro to QBOnline Plus Integration Conversion

[09/16/2011]  We were on QB Pro (desktop) and functioning without issue. It was easy to set up and with QODBC (3rd party online software for $150), we were readily able to maintain the integration. Then we decided we needed to have online access for both QB and Tenrox, so we planned a conversion for QB Pro to QB Online. Tenrox does not currently support QB Online Plus, and it was not clear that the PLUS aspect is not yet fully supported by Tenrox. No one else had ever done such a conversion either. With technical assistance from Tenrox, we determined the Tenrox tables that needed to have the integration id’s converted. We then purchased a new copy of QODBC to be able to access the tables on QB Online. We went through the conversion of QB Pro to QB Online without issue. Once that was done, we mapped the conversion id’s from QB Pro to QB Online and developed scripts with Tenrox to convert the id’s in Tenrox. This conversion went smoothly, but we had issues uploading invoices to QB Online. After investigation, we found 2 Tenrox tables with integration id’s that had been overlooked in the original analysis. Once we determined the issue, we converted the remaining tables and everything has been running very smoothly. We did have to manually enter some invoices into QB Online to get Tenrox and QB in sync for the invoices that failed to upload. Tenrox tech support was very helpful in getting the issues resolved, despite the fact that they do not fully support QB Online Plus. We were able to work through the issues together.

[09/16/2011]  We use Quickbooks Pro 2010 which is integrated with Tenrox 11.1. The integration was very simple to set up and works without any issues. It is a simple file transfer that is being used and so far we have not had any problems. It is very stable and requires no support. Exporting is as simple as hitting the button and it is done. Everything was very self-explanatory.

Integration with Oracle works like a charm

[09/16/2011]  We use version 11.1 and it is integrated with our Oracle 12.1. We export customer invoices and reimbursable expenses into the Oracle interface tables. We have custom fields that allow us to select the sales person that sold services and it brings over this info so that Oracle can calculate the commission. We also import customers and their and contacts and employees from Oracle as clients and resources. Very robust, never had a problem. I wish Oracle would work as well as Tenrox does.

Tenrox integration with QuickBooks

[08/17/2011]  The integration was very simple to set up and works without many issues. They do not support the latest versions of QB - currently on v9. The feed also does not bring over the proper quantity or rate, but the total charge is correct. This may be fixable, but to date - 18 months in - we have not been able to get it to work. We also find that some items appearing on the billable report do not feed over to QB. Still working on this issue as well.
