All inventory transactions feed a manufacturing sub-ledger to QuickBooks that automatically keeps your company financial statements updated with the accounting implications of every production operation.
The Advanced Purchasing module takes advantage of automatic PO generation, multi-tiered vendor pricing, vendor performance tracking, and automated recent cost tracking. Purchase Orders created in MISys SBM automatically create bill payments in QuickBooks!
Then, for a real dose of power and flexibility, add the Material Requirements Planning module for true, time-phased Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and MRP. With the ability to create a comprehensive Master Production Schedule for every item and assembly, MISys SBM knows what you’ll need and when you need it. There’s no need to worry about purchasing the wrong items, or the right items at the wrong time because MISys SBM will automatically schedule and create Purchase Orders on command. Production Work Orders and customized Job Orders are generated with just a few clicks! If a customer wants to reschedule an order, or a vendor fails to deliver on time, MISys SBM instantly shows you the effects and suggests corrective actions. MISys SBM can even create a sales forecast based on historical sales in QuickBooks. By applying the forecast to the MPS, MISys SBM allows you to anticipate your material requirements before your customers even place their orders! MISys also has an Available to Promise “ATP” function which will attempt to schedule the production of a specified item, then walk it ahead day by day until sufficient material is found to successfully complete the desired production.
For manufacturers who produce variants of standard products, and for custom job shops, add the Advanced Production module to create Manufacturing Orders. Produce super-accurate sales quotations and analyze your production efficiencies by tracking on-the-fly variations to material, scrap, labor, and special or non-stock items. As you work, MISys SBM will be updating the profitability of each job.
If your company has more complex inventory control needs, add the optional Bin Tracking module to track your inventory across unlimited sub locations or bins.
