The customer satisfaction surveys are web-based surveys sent to an IDN Developer's customer base. The survey is conducted and administered by an independent third party. Each survey consists of 32 questions about the company's product functionality, ease of use, technical service, and overall user experience.

[10/29/2009] I started using this product with release one and have been a fan ever since. Every release has made moving transactions from sources such as Access and Excel a breeze. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to connect data from another application without the hastle of entering it in twice. I was a fan of version one and continue to love it now...especially at tax time. Great job!

[11/04/2008] TPI is perhaps the sharpest, swiftest tool for importing data into QuickBooks. From the first time I opened TPI to fully understanding its power was quick and easy. If you are looking for program that imports data from a large variety of sources, you do not need to look any further. It's not often that a great program comes with great support like TPI does. The cost is extremely reasonable for the value.
The vast capabilities TPI provides allowed me, as a software developer, the integration to bundle with my products. The bottom line is that TPI's impressive number of functions and performance is outstanding.

[10/31/2008] Set up took a long time because we couldn't work out the one-order-per-line feature in TransactionPro. But the team at customer support were very patient. It took a while to get them to answer emails and the support forum didn't have the answer to our questions. But once directly connected, they were more than patient and we received high service levels.
The basic functions work well now we have it set up.
We still have issues with the item import not correctly matching to our QuickBooks item list and creating duplicate entries. This may be resolved in V3.0. This review refers to V2.0.

[08/03/2008] I have an accounting and bookkeeping practice exclusively for small non profit organizations, and I make it a point to install Baystate's importer tools for each of them. I am using Pro Importer and the QuickBooks online version. And the Exporter tool has been a Godsend for conversions. These tools have allowed me to dramatically streamline the data entry process for my clients, and in short, have made my life a whole lot easier. I can't say enough about how happy I am using them. [02/15/2008] I bought Transaction Pro Importer to import data into QuickBooks. The product was easy to set up and everything worked great! I tried another product that was supposed to do the same thing yours was and it just didn’t work. I’m a QuickBooks novice and I’m not an accountant, so trying to get my data into an IIF file was a nightmare.
I tried one import with the sample files provided just to get the hang of things. Then, I was able to use my own Excel spreadsheet, create my own mapping, and I got everything to work on the very first try!
This product just saved me countless hours of manual data entry.
It’s not very often that you buy something that is an exceptional value and is actually easy to use! Great job!

[02/14/2008] We use Transaction Pro Importer to import orders from four websites into QuickBooks Enterprise Wholesale Edition.
We asked our web people to have all of our websites export order info to a single CSV. Each morning the CSV report is auto-generated and available to download in a secure admin interface. Then by using TPI's simple mapping interface, we are now able to bring the orders into QuickBooks with a few clicks. Everything is placed in the proper place in QuickBooks, including credit card info, email addresses etc. and you can even use custom fields to import data beyond standard QuickBooks fields.
This program does what used to require a full time employee and it eliminates data entry errors (don't worry, we found other things for her to do). It's reliable and easy to use.
I strongly recommend this program for any business wasting time manually entering transactions into QuickBooks.

[11/14/2007] I have been using 01 Transaction Pro Importer by Baystate Consulting for the last 8 months and I cannot say enough how helpful this product has been so far.
I have clients that I make hundreds of lines of journal entries every month in excel. Without this product, it would take me days to book those entries. This product works like a breeze.
They also allow you to transfer licensing from one computer to another. If you are upgrading or changing your computer or putting it in a server, you don't need to pay anything and just transfer the license following their utility that they provide for free. No need to call customer service and explain for hours what you are trying to do.
I would highly recommend this product.

[04/03/2006] We browsed various products and spoke a few companies regarding the importing of transaction line items into QuickBooks for invoicing purposes. When we landed upon 01 Transaction Pro Importer we heard exactly what we were interested in hearing. Other products alluded that they could do what this product could do but did not. We downloaded a trial, spoke to their support, worked with support to configure our trial to operate correctly, which only took a couple of minutes, and ran it. It has run perfectly every time since the very first time. It has shortened our invoicing time from days to minutes!!!!! An excellent product and company to do business with.

The Transaction Importer has eliminated MANY hours of work (I recently did 700 checks in 15 minutes!) It is also very user friendly (I recommend UltraEdit as a good text editor). It takes a little bit of trial and error to identify exactly how the data should look so it can import properly within QuickBooks but definitely worth the effort so that manually keying can be minimized. This has saved us much time!! John is easy to work with - I would send him files and he would make suggestions on how to correct the issues. The error comments could be a bit more descriptive so that an end user could understand what the problem is. Overall this has helped us tremendously!!

[10/14/2005] We purchased 01 Transaction Pro Importer after evaluating virtually all of the various options from developing our own tools to finding a pre-built solution. The importer has already saved us countless man hours of re-entering sales receipts and invoices generated by our website. Our accounting department simply downloads a CSV formatted file generated from sales data in our MySQL database, and within a few minutes all the new sales are in QuickBooks. We had a few problems initially based on how we manage our books, but Baystate had the problems fixed in a few hours! Every time we have a question, their response is incredibly quick and they have always solved our problems.

[09/12/2005] If you're trying to set up an e-commerce site, and are entertaining the thought of generating your own .IIF files to transfer data to QuickBooks, don't bother!!! Use simple text files and 01TPI instead - this software package is THE ANSWER. It is functional, extremely flexible, cost less than 2 hours of my programmer's time - and the support from Baystate Consulting is outstanding. Even for some "custom" features we wanted, their rates were extremely reasonable.

[08/17/2005] We installed 01 Transaction Pro Importer (TPI) to generate pending QuickBooks invoices from a simple text file generated by our online shopping cart. The data fields in this file can be separated (delimitated) by commas, tabs or pipe"|". (We set our cart to generate a text file with pipe delimitation since it avoids the problem of having to strip commas out of customer supplied data). TPI imported the downloaded text file into QuickBooks correctly on the first try. Including writing our PHP cart code to generate the text file, we were able to pass the program on to our order staff for general use within a day. One the field map is set up, using the program is simple: we had the order crew trained in a few minutes. Everybody is happy to be finished with double entry.
After using it for a few days we decided to have some minor tweaks made and a few custom features added. John is incredibly fast with support. He replied to our emails within minutes (even on a Sunday) and accomplished some of these adjustments within a few hours. This simple transaction import program really completes QuickBooks for us!

[05/28/2005] My client has an Access database that handles product sales as part of their business. They were then re-entering the invoice data into QuickBooks. This utility creates QuickBooks invoices automatically from a text file so you don't have to create your own iif files. I created an export file from Access. The interface is simple and allows you to easily map your file. It saves the mapping so you don't have to do the mapping again.

[05/09/2005] I use this program to import Sales receipts from my StoreFront store and it work better than any of the other application I have tried. You have to provide the query to get the data out of StoreFront, but for me that was a plus because I can format it the way I want. I also asked for and got the ability to import the account that the transactions is deposited to so all of my transactions in up in the correct bank account. A real plus! I have processed thousands of records without an error.

We researched a host of third party add-ons and QuickBooks SDK development resources. We have an in-house Microsoft Access database with over 550,000 records every month we process the 30,000-40,000 records and print reports to bill our clients.
We reviewed different software solutions and determined we needed something that was flexible, easy to use and cost efficient.
We selected 01 Transaction Pro Importer because it met our criteria. We ask the developer to consider a new functionality to compliment the current offering. Within 24 hours, they published a new release with the requested feature.

[04/21/2005] We recently needed to come up with a solution to export our data from SQL Server to QuickBooks as sales receipts. After saving our SQL data as a comma delimited text file we easily exported it to QuickBooks using this utility. The field mapping was really easy to use and the yellow color coding of required data in the cells made it simple to fix gaps in our data. Simple and it works!
