When I would finally get the nerve to check up on unfollowed up or unresolved issues, they would say they thought it was all fixed...which necessarily meant they were talking out of their backsides. By the time we replaced them 2 years later....they were the last to find out. Until and unless they commit to service...stay AWAY.

The couple of support people that do work there are not able to do much as the owner is the only one that can fix any problems and he is NOT RETURNING CALLS or fixing ANYTHING. So bottom line Buy this only if you do not need support.

[06/22/2009]  I chose IA's product to integrate our online store with our QuickBooks Point of Sale. The product does integrate well and has some powerful features. Unfortunately, there have been quite a few glitches along the way, and they seem to keep showing up. Their support system is poor. The only first level of support they have is via chat sessions. This makes every support incident 3 times longer than it has to be. If I could call someone and talk with them for 5 minutes, we could all get more accomplished. Also, whenever I use their support ticket system to create a ticket, it takes weeks to get the issue resolved. A current ticket of mine is unresolved and it has been 3.5 weeks. Not a single response from them yet. Their product can be powerful but because of their poor support and lack of communication with clients I cannot recommend their software at this time.

[05/27/2009]  We’re in the process of setting up a store with IAM. The tech support is terrible as is the documentation. Half of what’s promised isn’t available yet , or coming in a future update. If you’re an expert with xml and very proficient with heavy code you’ll probably do fine. I’ve got several years of web design and numerous site under my belt and I’ve had to try and get several issues resolved thru tech support, many times waiting several days to get a half reply which doesn’t help me at all.

In the last 2 years we sold our first very successful web store and started up a new Green Products based web store. Our next step was to integrate our Web site with Amazon.com. Reduced Time to Market and cost of Site redesign and QuickBooks integration

[04/24/2009]  Our old website was developed on an open source platform, and was not integrated with our QuickBooks (v. Enterprise 8.0 at the time). This caused tremendous bottlenecks in our order fulfillment process, as we had to allocate considerable amounts of time for manual processes, such as data entry and verification of available inventory. In order to grow our business (Sales), increase our Marketing efforts (through Search Engine Optimization/Marketing), lower our costs of doing business, and consequently be able to process more orders we knew we had to use technology more effectively. Our first project was to overhaul our ecommerce Sales Channel in two ways. The first project we indentified was a redesign and complete overhaul of our Website. Pursuant to this project we would then look for solutions to integrate the new website with our QuickBooks Application. I was at first, skeptical at my first look at the IA Modules platform, which promised to accomplish both of my projects (redesign and overhaul plus QuickBooks integration), especially for the nominal monthly fee, and money back guarantee. We moved forward however, and are highly satisfied with the entire project. Not only are the tools IA in the Control Panel very intuitive and easy to use, but the integration with QuickBooks is extremely tight! I am convinced we have save months of time and dramatically reduced our time to market with our new Website! We even upgraded from Enterprise 8.0 to Enterprise 9.0 with no trouble with our IA Modules installation. It was a simple process of opening a Chat Session with the Support Department, and they were able to remotely make the changes needed to our system to accommodate the upgrade. To top all of this, the intrinsic Search Engine Optimization Tools available to us have allowed us to optimize our new site, helping us reach our goal of becoming more Search Engine visible, all through the Control Panel!

However, the reality is complex and there is no out of the box solution that works for everyone. IA Modules has a great set up that is flexible to our needs. They are willing to work with us to get the exact set up that we need and the system is very flexible. They have templates for simple sites but they can be tweaked to fit your needs. We recommend them after having tried with at least four other companies with the same claims. And, the time saved in having to manually enter orders is huge!

[08/03/2007]  When we decided to have a web store, having the inventory match between the retail store and web site was paramount. We looked at numerous possible solutions, but once we looked at IAModules the decision was easy. Set-up: It has a reasonable startup cost, the hosting was installed quickly and the initial training followed very shortly there after. From a technical stand point we had a web store in less than a week. What prevented us from launching our site was inventory integrity issues (our own doing). We did have some issues with the merchant account setup and integration (not IAModules fault), but to IAModules credit they tirelessly worked with us to get the issues identified and resolved, even camping out on a conference call for an entire morning. Design/Layout: IAModules provides a great deal of flexibility in the realm of design and layout, I had little trouble customizing the site to suit our desires. Technology: The use of XML and XLS is new to us, but after a little research and education it is not hard to see the advantages it offers us today and in the future. Some of the other solutions we looked at used antiquated or dated technology and/or methodology. Having a solution that we felt confident we would not outgrow or limit us in the future was critical to our long term strategy. Features: IAModules has a great set of base features, and is constantly adding new features. Having had some experience with other web stores I was elated when I made a suggestions and saw them developed and implemented. One feature was even done while we chatted, granted this was very basic and I have not doubt that they will polish it in time. This kind of responsiveness is invaluable. Support: I have been very happy with the support, both chat and ticket support. The staff is always professional and friendly, never short or condescending. If they don't immediately know the answer, they are always proactive, offering suggestions and ideas, even offering samples, all targeted at finding an answer. [07/14/2007]  Coming new in to retail from 5 years online sales we needed someway to tie online and in-store inventory together. Contacted IA Modules before buying QuickBooks POS and they promised us this was no problem. As we had a website up and working, we only wanted to interface to our POS for inventory, but this turned into a very big deal shortly after we signed up and paid in. Can't go into details as it is far too much to say here. But I will say over the course of 2 months of suffering though total site down time and promise after promise of our website getting done prior to our very expensive ads coming out, we were totally let down with no way to even process orders online. A month or so later we were still not up and we had to fire IAM and go to another source for help -- My son. He put up a fully functional website and we got back online. Still not tied into our stores inventory... Just to scared to give another company the chance to cost us another big chunk of money for nothing. BTW, lost over $1,500.00 directly to IA Modules and not even an apology, let alone a refund.

[05/29/2007]  I’m sorry to say that we have to agree with the other dissenter’s review. IA Modules’ program may work well, while we even question that at this point with an unfinished site but their support and communication really stinks. We started with IA Modules in November of 2005 and Neil (owner) promised that they could build us an ecommerce site in about 3 months for the initial program set up charge of $500 plus about $750 for site development as their advertising reads even today. This was to include, as stipulated upfront, a complete ecommerce website as we have no IT Department. The initial program installation went quickly without any hitches but our explanation was also very hurried. The sole manual for the program consists of a very sketchy online manual that seems to make sense until one tries to follow the instructions explicitly. The first programmer that IAM assigned to our project was very inexperienced and after two month’s work was still working on a banner. He was fired and we had to fight to receive a credit for his useless effort. After a year into this ordeal, we were informed that all of our QuickBooks items had to be redone without sub-categories to eliminate the colons if we wanted to be able to submit to Amazon or any shopping comparison sites. This fact is now added to the online manual. That added about a month’s work of renaming over a thousand items on our part. After 18 month’s into the project, our website consists solely of a banner and horizontal tabs. In the meantime, our charge card had been charged, without authorization, a total of $1625. Repeated emails asking for justification of their charges are still ignored. We have unfortunately been forced to end our relationship.

Great Integration with QuickBooks POS

[03/21/2007]  We wanted to find a webstore that would integrate with QuickBooks POS product. We picked IA Modules for several different reasons including: cost, integration, ongoing maintenance of the site, and the ability to get the site up and working quickly. IA Modules delivered on everything. This software is tightly integrated with QuickBooks POS. Integration includes creating customer accounts and sales order in POS along with the POS deposit for credit card payments. We created a POS sales order filter that shows all of the open webstore orders. We then "sell" the sales orders creating sales receipts and using the deposits (automatically created when customer pays by credit card) to pay for them. The credit card payments also move over to QuickBooks Pro during the "end of day" process to make depositing the money to your bank account extremely easy. We have 2 merchant accounts, one for POS and one for Pro. The webstore uses the Pro merchant account which was a little confusing at first, but we got a $14/mo service from intuit to get the detail on the deposits making the credit card deposits easy to tie out. We are able to add or delete product as we want. It's also easy to update prices, pictures and the layout of your store. If you want something cost effective and easy to manage, this is for you!

Synching orders to QuickBooks with competitor’s products could take more than 4 hours for just 15 orders! Unacceptable as it would put way too much strain on our QuickBooks file (we are running with almost 10 users at all times). Once we switched over to IA Modules the orders were downloaded automatically within a couple minutes, payments were automatically applied according to our specs and all we had to do was print them out! Beautiful system with excellent customer service. IA Modules is without a doubt one of the best integrated shopping carts around. A lot of flexibility, we have even used it to allow our sales reps to enter orders when out of the office, great time saver and gets the orders in and out much faster. All in all two very satisfied thumbs up.

Great Integrated WebStore Solution

[01/10/2006]  We were in search of a WebStore solution that integrated with QuickBooks, and stumbled across IA Modules during our search. When I called, I was able to reach the President of the company, and talk with him extensively about his solution, and the implementation.

The program did everything he said it would do, which is a pretty impressive list of things. Our primary objective was to make it easy to add items to the Webstore, and to edit the prices of those items. IA Modules does that so well that we now take it for granted. It was an amazing thing to see all the items we sell on our new WebStore in a matter of minutes after making the WebStore live.

Our secondary objective was to make it easy for our clients to place orders, and to do so without the need to re-enter the information into our system after receiving the order. Again IA Modules does exactly that, the customer does all the work, we just periodically open the Sales Orders, and convert them to invoices (or purchase orders if it is a non-stock, or out of stock item), run the credit card process, print the packing slip and ship the order, no double entry, no mistakes.

The back end, or administrative site is equally well designed, it is easy to setup the WebStore, and even easier to manage it. Adding graphics for each item is fairly quick and pain free, and the ability to add additional details not contained within QuickBooks is invaluable. The ability to cross-sell items is a real time saver for our customers, and a very powerful sales tool for us.

I would highly recommend this solution to anyone looking for a WebStore package that integrates with QuickBooks, we had been using QuickBooks for many years, and this solution makes one of the most respected accounting packages in the world an even better program for those that want to sell their products over the world wide web.

[09/30/2005]  We are a wholesale and retail plumbing parts distributor and have to commend IAM on developing a simple to use yet highly sophisticated ecommerce solution that was a perfect fit with QuickBooks. We had had an IBM mainframe for many years and needed an integrated ecommerce solution. We have about 20,000 items. After reviewing many software packages that started in the 30,000- 40,000 we tossed the mainframe, switched to pc base network, chose QuickBooks, just to use IAM ecommerce solutions. IAM claimed their software could do everything the expensive software could do. They were right! Their experts designed a very affordable and easy to use site. One of the best features of the software is the backend module, which allows us to add pictures, addition descriptions and set up multiple customer discounts based on the sign in ID of the user. We can pick and choose which quick books items are to be listed online. This module is so easy that you can learn to use this in a few hours. My 74 year old, computer illiterate father, has grasped the logic of the backend module in no time and is been doing the setup with ease. Another great feature of this software is that it is live! The web module and the backend store communicate constantly. Our old web store software was separate from our regular store and we had to enter the order, credit card info and shipping info into the system after the customer placed the order. We had to maintain two separate price lists that always differed because there wasn't always time to update the web store. IAM has developed this package to integrate flawlessly with QuickBooks saving us time. Now the customer enters the order and the credit card info, while IAM software works with QuickBooks to enter the shipping rates. If you change a price in QuickBooks the price will change on the web ending double work. WE SAVE TIME! The IAM module is powerful, easy to use and best of all affordable. We recommend it!

We've seen an increase in sales three-fold due to IAM's simple yet very efficient design that is pleasing to both our customers as well as search engines. The system was nearly painless to setup and deploy. Our in-house professional web designers were able to quickly develop the neatly-designed stock look to match our company and its design into the IAM framework with minimal effort. IAM's high-speed servers are top notch and decently priced for what they deliver. With thousands of items listed for sale in the store, and hundreds of customers browsing our site, there is no better solution for an e-commerce package than the IAM-hosted module. We've spend thousands of dollars on other solutions before moving to IAM, and none of them compare to the overall feel and ease of use that this system provides us. Even IAM's support team is professional and prompt to any question that I have about the software or even upgrades I would like to see in the future. Leveraging the seamless two way integration with our QuickBooks Enterprise Accounting, we are able to host multiple sites using only one database. We offer our customers their own, fully functional website. This is proving to be a great means of separating us from our competitors. We used other so called "solutions" in the past and were very frustrated with the level of integration from our front end order entry to our back end accounting. Now that we found SAM server, we have virtually eliminated data entry errors, web orders are automatically booked as sales orders in QuickBooks. We no longer have to worry about the accuracy of information on our website, if it's right in QuickBooks, it's right on the website. We now have one person doing what it used to take five to do!! [11/23/2004]  We are very pleased with IAM Software. Presently we have 2 websites utilizing this software program. Both sites read the same QuickBooks information in a real time link for fast easy order fulfillment and accurate inventory listings. The flexibility to customize & design the storefront to our needs was a great time saving feature. Each website has 5000+ SKU's all entered instantly into our web site. We have the choice that our orders can be entered on the web site and come into QuickBooks as Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, or Invoices. Customers have access to historical data pertaining to their account. Overall very pleased with the performance of IAM software.

[11/22/2004]  I’d like to take this opportunity to thank IA Modules for what they have done for my company. I have never been more impressed with nor could more highly recommend a piece of software then the program that IA Modules has developed. I own an artificial flower company. We we’re looking to take our company to the next level through the creation of a web store. After much deliberation and research we made a decision to go with IA Modules add on for QuickBooks. The best decision this company has ever made We now own what should be a $30,000 fully integrated ecommerce website. Our customers are able to log in and place orders. They have the ability to check their invoice and credit history. Not to mention the nice smooth shopping experience this piece of software provides. We we’re able to add attributes to each product (Which QuickBooks doesn’t even provide) with just a tiny bit of customizable html. We’re able to promote new items and cross sell products. The website was unbelievable easy to set up with most of the features are just a mouse click away. The program is sophisticated enough to allow you to have a running store in a few days. It’s completely customizable allowing you to create any look and feel you want. My project should have taken 6 months to set up and we completed it in 2 weeks. I have chosen to Offsite host my store with IA Modules. There is a live update right into to my local copy of QuickBooks. This means every time someone places an order on your website it will be automatically transferred into QuickBooks. We come into work in the morning and just print all the invoices from the previous evening. It will check the stock of your items if you want it too. To have a website fully integrated into your accounting package is a god send and usually costs tens of thousands of dollars. The customer service at IA Modules is beyond that of any I have ever seen. If needed the president of the company will get on the phone and walk you through the part of the application you may need help with. This is crucial any time you invest money in software. I truly believe every company who uses QuickBooks should own this add on. This product should be sold on the shelves right next to QuickBooks. If you use QuickBooks, have products to sell, and want a web presence there is no software better fitted then IA Modules.
