When printing checks within QuickBooks you merely choose to print to the MultiCHAX® Virtual printer and when QuickBooks starts to printout the checks, a selection list pops up so you can select the proper bank account. MultiCHAX® prints the full check image including the MICR characters. Logos, signatures and form overlays may be scanned to jpeg, gif, or bmp format files. These may be stored on USB storage for extra security. No special printing hardware is required. The MultiCHAX® system enables you to choose to use any of four different formats which include 3 to a page, bottom check, middle check, or top check configurations.
You no longer have to worry about inventorying different forms for different bank accounts or different purposes. With MultiCHAX® you can print blank checks and wallet size checks for manual check writing. Also you can create deposit tickets for any of your accounts. You need stock only blank check and deposit ticket forms.

Features:
MultiCHAX™ for use with QuickBooks offers unlimited checking accounts and check formats. You are limited only by disc space available. The system is networkable and the encrypted databases used internally by MultiCHAX® are designed for multi-user access. As checks are written a data base is updated adding an entry for each check printed by MultiCHAX®. This file is encrypted and password protected. The MultiCHAX® user “administrator” may change this password so that the file is in fact a secure audit trail of checks produced by the system. MultiCHAX® can support the use of ACH (Electronic Funds Transfers) and the additional fraud prevention of “Positive Pay” systems offered by many banks. You can automatically print up to three extra copies of checks on plain paper (using an alternate paper tray on your printer) for your filing requirements.
Printers supported:
Almost any printer supported by a Windows printer driver. We recommend a laser printer using special MICR toner. We offer toner for most laser printers (see our web site). While some banks will accept non MICR toner and MultiCHAX® will print to ink jet printers, it is therefore possible to use an ink jet printer, this is not recommended. See our web site for a discussion of the potential problems of not using MICR toner. You can use our reasonably priced MICR toner in your regular laser printer since it looks the same as non MICR toner so you can use your regular printer for both check and non check printing needs.
Security:
Multiple user access levels are supported. The system can accommodate an unlimited number of users. Each with his/her own security permissions for printing checks up to a dollar limit, printing blank checks, printing checks for only certain banks, plus much more. The MultiCHAX® files are encrypted and password secured so as to maintain the highest level of security. The audit trail file keeps track of each check printed through the accounting software with a date/time stamp, the user ID, software serial number, amount of check, date of the check, payee, and all other pertinent information.
