[02/14/2008] We run an 8 truck 16 employee electrical service company, we have been running Smart Service in conjunction with QuickBooks for 5 years now, Smart Service allows us to maintain control of our busy service company very effectively, No job falls through the cracks due to lack of control. It is a very effective control and dispatch system for our service company; it allows us to use QuickBooks which is already a very effective time proven accounting system with a very time proven and effective dispatching system. They integrate seamlessly & the purchase cost is very reasonable as compared to other dispatch solutions on the marketplace. By utilizing these two software systems, our company runs very efficiently with only 3 administration staff in our office. In my opinion there is no better software out there for service companies 1. QuickBooks Premier or QuickBooks Enterprise and 2. Smart Service dispatch software. You will never need anything else as far as software goes to run your company very efficiently, from both a financial stand point as well as control in the field, Smart Service also includes a GPS integration upgrade option which is a crucial tool in operating an efficient service type company, In my opinion its Excellent Bang for the Buck and Very Effective.

[02/14/2008] Using Smart Service actively for almost a year now. Very impressed with how easily it works with QuickBooks Pro. We are able to use Smart Service to manage our customer and prospect database. We use it for scheduling, invoicing and routing. Their customer support is excellent. This company certainly stands behind their product.
Additionally they are always updating and adding new features to Smart Service.

[11/25/2006] I can’t say enough about the program and the service I get from Smart Service. They are the best. The program was the answer to all our needs for USA Plumbing Service business and the best thing was it was very affordable. It dispatches for us, its compatible with QuickBooks instantly (no exporting), it emails to techs and customers, it has many reports and I can make my own. They always are improving and updating to make the product even better and the best thing is its no charge. The customer service has always been great, I’ve always gotten my questions answered and help anytime I’ve needed it and form someone who knew what they were doing. They are awesome. I’m so glad I found them.

[08/11/2006] We have tried several products in the past, but nothing really seemed to integrate with QuickBooks (Although they all say they integrate). We installed Smart Service and it automatically pulled all of our customers & prices right from my QuickBooks. Smart Service has been a key to building our business in an organized fashion. We love it!!

[07/21/2006] Our company searched for months to find the right software for our handyman company. We have 8 crews and Smart Service tracks everything for us from cradle to grave. We start by tracking when the first call comes into our office, what marketing campaign it came from, etc. Then it's on to scheduling, time tracking, routing, mapping, and so much more. There are a ton of features we haven't even used yet. Every time we call in to the help desk the support has always been fast and friendly. We've been using Smart Service for over 8 months and couldn't live without it!

[01/10/2006] We've sent the software back and have not received a refund. During the setup, we realized that we wouldn't be able to immediately print invoices with real invoice numbers. We called and said that we want to return it. Of course, they would have none of that and assured us that together we could make it work. We used it for two months, and decided to go back to our old software. We sent the software back shortly after that and they feel that they do not owe us any money. We spent $2,000.00 for a four user license, that is how confident, at first, we were about the product. It didn't work for us, and they have happily kept our money.

[09/28/2005] We run an electrical service company with 6 trucks, we purchased Smart Service so we could convert our dispatching from a manual system and into the computer, we have been dispatching manually using a board on the wall system for 3 years with Quick Books, we needed a method to dispatch from the computer as we grew so we could keep better track of our customers and jobs without jobs being lost. The program does have an effective schedule dispatch board but we had to modify it for our purposes to allow us to see our important at a glance information more effectively such as job start times and city that the job is booked in which have added steps so we are not quite using the dispatch board as originally intended. The program does have effective mapping, marketing and text messaging features and the ability to enter jobs that have been completed so all dispatched jobs are accounted for. There are some mapping aspects of the program that we are still having technical difficulty with, but they are working on the fix. The program does allow a dispatcher to book a job for multiple full days but will not allow you to book a job for 1.5 days or 2.5 days which could cause scheduling conflicts. There are some aspects of the program that could be streamlined to eliminate unnecessary steps such as the addition of right click copy paste and certain other areas but as the program matures and with input from future customers the program will get better. We would recommend this program to other service type companies.

[08/03/2005] This software has been a tremendous asset to our company. With the marketing tools, we were able to accurately check which ad campaigns were working for us which weren't. To our surprise, we were losing money on our two biggest ads. We stopped running those ads and re-tooled our entire strategy, and are seeing ads bringing in 8 times what they cost to place. The scheduler is also a tremendous timesaver. With the reminders and ability to schedule jobs in advance, I spend half as much time at my desk as I used to. My jobs are displayed one page and I can print driving directions to each job, all with Smart Service. If you use QuickBooks and are in a Service industry, you would definitely benefit from this program.

[03/02/2005] We run 2 companies and this was an easy set up to operate through QuickBooks. We had some technical difficulties that were solved over the phone very quickly. The Scheduling and Mapping feature is a real time saver. Not to mention the equipment and vehicle records, the customer contact and marketing campaign. We are still learning many of the aspects of the program. The scheduler is pretty good but it does not allow you to see a job that is scheduled every month, only in the current month, until you close the job, this could cause scheduling conflicts if you schedule a month or 2 in advance. They did say they would look at that issue. I would recommend this product to other service type companies.
