[10/07/2009]  we are an international cosmetic manufacturer and we started using NC on March 28, 2003. We have continued using this software with QB until 2007 when the founder wanted to change to SAP-B1. After 4 months and $150,000 later we went back to NC and havent looked back since! NC is unbeliveable as what the end user can do with it. You con format forms and customize everything to be tailored to each workstation needs, and the NC has put everything there for the users and have made it so simple that with a little bit of reading in the help files there is not much that you cant do with this software. I am 100% happy with NC and would recommend to anyone looking for the best one-stop shop for anyone's business needs. I have used many different software platforms including custom written programs, but none can compare to ease of use and flexiblity of NC and the best thing is the price!! Another thing i wanted to mention is that there support is second to none and everyone that i have spoken to over the phone in the past years have been knowledgable and very helpful and always professional.

All Orders Built on Superior Customer Support

[10/02/2009]  ION Corporation has been using the combination of All Orders and QuickBooks as our MRP system since 2003. In that time, the All Orders customer support staff has expediently solved every problem that has arisen. All Orders staff also listens to our suggestions for product improvement and continues to incorporate them in subsequent software updates. Case in Point: ION has a continually evolving product line, with each new prototype undergoing constant revisions. Once a Work Order had been created the only means of updating the associated BOM was a time consuming line by line manual edit. During a conversation with All Orders support staff I explained the problem. I requested a more automated method of insuring that the most current BOM loaded in the system was used in each Work Order. Subsequently with the release of All Orders 5.0 Reload BOM was added to the drop down Activities menu on the Work Order screen. Now it is a simple one step process to insure our customers receive the desired product incorporating the correct components.

[09/29/2009]  All Orders has been a great addition to our company. We now have a complete control over our inventory. I have to give special mention to their support rep Lena Diaz. She has gone beyond the call of duty in helping us at times of critical need. She has literally saved us more times than I can remember when our system had problems. Day, night, weekends, Lena was there. This level of support in addition to a great product equals a unbeatable bargain when up against other comparable products. All Orders wins without question.

[09/23/2009]  As an Intuit Solution Provider, we often encounter a need to extend the capabilities of the Intuit product line with a 3rd party Inventory Management add-on. We have found Number Cruncher’s All Orders to be a good fit. Similar to QuickBooks, the software is easy to use, intuitive and syncs seamlessly. In addition to the expected Inventory Management features, there are extensive report writing, exporting and importing capabilities. Program customization is also available if needed. Adding to the overall value of this software is the responsiveness of both the Sales and Support teams. On the Sales side, staff is always available to address installation or functionality questions and on the Support side, they are always there to assist when our expertise with a certain aspect of the product is lacking. We highly recommend All Orders by NumberCruncher for anyone needing to add extensive inventory capabilities to their Intuit solution.

[03/12/2008]  SAFE Fire Detection Inc implemented All Orders by NumberCrunchre early this year and we have found the software to work extremely well. Installation of the software on both the server and work stations was quick and easy. Any problems we encountered during installation were resolved by their tech support department in a timely manner. All of our employees have found the software easy to use and have reduced their daily work load. The time I personally spend managing our inventory has been reduced in half. Any request I have made for improvement to the software has been noted by NumberCruncher staff and they plan to add our suggestions to future versions. I highly recommend All Orders by NumberCruncher for anyone looking to add complete inventory software for a reasonable price to work with QuickBooks.

Customer Comments More Than Two Years Old

Excellent Software, Good Service, Great Value

[03/15/2007]  If you are a small to medium sized Canadian (or US) manufacturer you probably already know just how hard it is to find a decent accounting package that can manage raw materials for production, completed inventory, production work orders, and customer order fulfillment. Fact is the pickins' are mighty thin - especially if you are located in Canada. Two years ago we decided to go with a product as at the time it appeared to be about the best solution available - a decision we regretted from nearly day one. It was only after two years of beating our heads against the wall in trying to get this product to work for our business that we finally decided that we had to find something else.

At first we were not very encouraged with what we found. QuickBooks was clearly the best option for pure accounting, but when it came to inventory management, manufacturing and order fulfillment - it fell far short of our requirements. Fortunately we discovered NumberCruncher by AllOrders. Now the names of the product and company may not be as sexy as other products, but when it comes to functionality, flexibility and just plain old fashioned customer service provided by the company - it has other solutions beat hands down.

The software has a few rough edges (version 4.0.27), but the planning and thought that has gone into the design of the software is top notch. Clearly these folks understand the issues faced by small manufacturers.

Installation and setup is very straight forward with QuickBooks synchronization smooth and simple. Demarcation between the processes you perform in NumberCruncher and what you do in QuickBooks is logical and seamless. Its multi-user capability has worked well for us with 4 users making heavy demands on the software with no problems. The software understands and properly implements Canadian GST and PST. The learning curve is moderately steep, but if you have any experience at all with manufacturing/warehousing you will not have too much difficulty. You should plan two to four weeks to get everything working smoothly.

The batch processing features for PO, work order and shipping work exceedingly well, and have shaved off hours of work for us every day. The built in report writer is a wee bit technical, but offers a great deal of flexibility in designing your own reports and documents such as commercial invoices, packing slips and so on. Inventory management is top notch with a rich set of tools and features you would only expect to find in higher end software. Features like processes that let you automatically generate purchase orders based on min/max levels for each item, batch work order generation based on deficiencies or pre-set re-order points, the ability to pre-define multiple vendors for items, support for bar code scanning and so on.

There is a sophisticated price level management system that lets you set pre-defined discounts for individual or grouped items. A system that lets you manage the units that items are purchased, used and sold in. Another system to define manufacturing processes and raw material requirements for each item that you manufacture. Etc. etc. In all, a lot of value for the money.

And to top it all off is AllOrders great service. While we were getting things setup we found them to be very responsive and helpful. Emails were always answered within 24 hours - and usually the same day. Phone calls were handled by people who were knowledgeable and always helpful.

They will customize the software for your specific needs as well. In our case they wrote a custom importing routine that imported our sales and customer information from our ecommerce system via XML.

The software is not quite perfect and is missing a few key features. For example there is no global keyword search capability (we really miss that), the Sales Order page is missing some key columns (key for us anyways), there are some missing filters on the purchase and work order analysis screens. But I am sure they will be adding these features in future releases.

In all we are very satisfied NumberCruncher customer and encourage anyone who is in the market for manufacturing/inventory management add-in for QuickBooks to give it a try.

[12/02/2005]  We are a small to medium sized company that designs and manufactures gas mixing and analyzing equipment for the industrial gas industry worldwide. We have an inventory of over 2,000 purchased and manufactured parts, a current bill of materials list of over 400, a very long customer list both international and domestic, and over 500 different vendors. My company brought me on board to analyze, learn, and train our personnel on the accounting and manufacturing program they had implemented nearly a year previously, having moved from an antiquated system. They had spent tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours trying to learn this program and to get it working properly. The upshot was, after several months, I was asked to find us some new software that would meet all our needs, was robust, reliable, accurate, and easy to implement and use. Needless to say, everyone was pretty gun-shy on any new software since their previous experience had been so negative. I took 8 months to thoroughly research, test, and evaluate several different programs. Some were comprehensive, stand alone products, others were QuickBooks add-ons. Pretty early on, I nixed all of the stand alone products as being too over-the-top or too difficult or complicated to learn and use. I turned to QuickBooks as a program I had been familiar with for many years and started investigating the manufacturing add-ons. Among many other things, we needed a top-notch inventory control system with serial numbering that had flexibility, a very strong bill of materials capability as most of our bills have over 200 items and sub-assemblies, precise and easy to use sales orders and work orders, and flexible purchase orders. Interestingly, NumberCrunchers’ All Orders was one of the first programs I evaluated. I really liked it, but needed to be extremely thorough in my search as I wanted to give my people the product that fit their needs perfectly. I tried many of the other add-ons, but always kept finding things that just didn’t fit our needs, and I found I kept coming back to All Orders. I eventually purchased a copy of QuickBooks and All Orders to be able to evaluate them in-depth over the course of a few months. During my evaluation, I found so many things I liked about All Orders that I eventually had to start looking for things I DIDN’T like, but I couldn’t find many. During this time, I made numerous phone calls and email inquiries to Ian and Lena (probably driving them crazy) but they were always very helpful and pleasant (and this was BEFORE we purchased the support plan). To make a long story a little shorter, we purchased enough licenses of QuickBooks and All Orders and have been up and running for over a month. I had devised a training schedule for those who would be using the programs, but we had to throw that out the window after everyone felt comfortable and happy with the program in less than half the time I had anticipated. We are all extremely pleased with All Orders. It is robust, reliable, accurate, and easy to implement and use. One thing to remember when choosing software, after you implement the program, you should never have to think about the program itself again. You shouldn’t have to worry whether it will work properly or perform to standard or crash or hang or corrupt your data. All Orders has accomplished that for us. Once it’s running, it’s there, and it works! All Orders and the support team at NumberCruncher have my complete confidence.

[11/23/2005]  We are a medium size manufacturing-parts assembly operation in which we utilize a large amount of purchase parts from overseas vendors. Consequently our lead times are very long, sometimes three months on parts delivery from date of order. Inventory control is crucial to our operation as the shortage of one part can shut us down for months. Number Cruncher has performed beyond expectations with easy to use work order menus and critical item reports. MRP is a snap. We haven't even begun to utilize its power. Customer service response is excellent and NC will always call back promptly. If you are an inventory intensive manufacturing or assembly operation we highly recommend this product.

[11/02/2005]  We are a manufacturer and distributor of home bedding products including mattress pads, duvets, comforters, sheets, pillow cases, etc. and just recently started using All Orders. A major concern for us was downloading the thousands of part numbers and descriptions but was pleasantly surprised by the simple and elegant import facility that made this task relatively easy. Since we have to deal with both in-house manufactured goods as well as purchased goods we found All orders to be an ideal solution to track both raw materials and finished goods. It is also very easy to handle changes to orders and back orders which historically has been a major challenge for us. The system has been easy for our staff to learn particularly for those who were already familiar with the look and feel of QuickBooks and we have also found the support, when we needed it, to be prompt and to the point. This is our first venture into utilizing a system to help manage inventory and production with the high cost of these systems being the main deterrent. If we had learned about All Orders earlier we would have started down this path much sooner.

Fantastic Inventory Management

[09/22/2005]  Our company is in the business of selling, configuring and maintaining voice and data systems for small to medium size businesses. We used to operate our business only with the QuickBooks software which was inadequate as far as Inventory Management of Work Orders and Serial Numbers is concerned....QuickBooks only contains the concept of an "Assembly Part" while Number Cruncher makes that "Assembly Part" live thru the use of Work Orders and Work Order management. In addition, we now have the capability of using multiple stocking locations for our service technicians, plus a way to account for our Inventory Items and make projections based on their use thru the "Custom Reporting" feature of Number Cruncher. This also gives us the ability to run reports that indicate when we need to reorder. As far as customer support is concerned, Number Cruncher is "FANTASTIC", their knowledgeable staff is always responsive and always has an eye toward training. Using Number Cruncher means efficiency and effectiveness in our way of doing business and we are very proud and happy with it. Prior to Number Cruncher, I searched for comparative products and could not find one matching the inventory control, management and reporting that Number Cruncher provides. I would recommend it to any organization who loves QuickBooks but requires more inventory and order management control.

A Great Addition For Our Company
Geron Meeks
Overall Rating:

[09/13/2005]  Our company manages custom orders and distribution, both direct and through our warehouses, for hundreds of vendors and customers to thousands of locations. NumberCruncher is the perfect solution for what QuickBooks could not provide. We attempted a switch to Great Plains a few years ago, which proved to be too inflexible for our business. QuickBooks Enterprise handles our financial needs well enough and there is too much history to abandon. NC has been a smooth transition for our users used to using QuickBooks. Now, we can finally accurately track inventory, manage multiple ship-to's, multiple units of measure and multiple inventory locations, track customer-owned inventory, and FINALLY have integrated reports from all those data locations. NumberCruncher has provided the missing piece for us. We now have all of our data stored in SQL Server, from NC, QuickBooks (through another 3rd party app) and our warehousing system where we are now creating some great reports not possible before. Our reliance on spreadsheets is dropping quickly. Lena and NC have already responded to custom requests that have been very helpful and I am comforted that the company appears very committed to updating/upgrading their product on their own as well. That commitment adds much needed flexibility, essentially like having an IT group for our order and inventory system. Highly recommended now with even highly expectations in the near future.

New version 3.1.24 with SQL
Lauren @ 4Ever Health

[09/02/2005]  After using NumberCruncher for several months, our company recently experienced a computer server crash, at which time it was found that our tape back up system had also malfunctioned and our NumberCruncher data file was lost. We contacted technical support at number cruncher to resolve the issue and were advised of the new release using SQL. We proceeded to this new release although it will not be officially available until November. The successful installation of the new version was delayed for a week due to vacation scheduling of the NumberCruncher support staff, but once staffing levels returned to normal, we received excellent service. Our staff is used to using a system already in place; we have our computer network serviced externally, so the experience is not here to solve problems. NumberCruncher support guided us through the steps and procedures via phone and by remote access, returning any calls promptly. We have come across some minor problems in the new release but are working closely with NumberCruncher and find these problems to be resolved very quickly. I would like to thank Lina for her patience regarding our lack of computer/network experience; it helped greatly with this transition. I know that if any further quirks are noted in the new release, NumberCruncher is committed to an effective and quick resolution of any problems. We benefit from the ability to track inventory at multiple locations and the tracking of lot and serial numbers. The software is simple to use for input and historical information. One criticism is the necessity to reconcile some inventory reports to QuickBooks as the information is pulled from different files. NumberCruncher has advised this is to be remedied shortly by accessing same files for reporting, making reconciliation unnecessary.

Manufacturing with QuickBooks a Good Solution

[08/30/2005]  We are a manufacturer of Industrial Control Devices. We produce our products in many different styles, colors and contact configurations to suit our customer needs. Complicating matters we ship 95% of our orders the same day. We needed a solution to create the Bill of Materials, and Work orders rapidly, and still control inventory. Number Cruncher All orders has delivered and performed both. The program has allowed us to create Items and BOMs on the fly, while still putting us in a position to control inventory levels of raw materials, and sub components. The Analysis tools have improved our purchase process, but the biggest asset has been the staff at Number Cruncher who has listened to our needs and suggestions. They have helped us automatically upload product instructions into our BOMs, and also provided a workable, accurate solution to our negative inventory issues; making this solution an automatic part of our sync with QuickBooks without customizing the product. We are please with the growth and development of Number Cruncher over past two years and are looking forward to moving to the SQL-based platform in the very near future.

[08/29/2005]  Of all the software solutions for manufacturing available, All Orders is the best and most cost effective. Two years ago, our company left QuickBooks Pro and implemented another accounting software in order to track our manufacturing raw materials. Our accountant suggested a software package from Georgia the Peach state. We lost all kinds of time and money trying to learn the new software and still after using it for an entire year, did not feel very comfortable with it. We also found that we had to buy a tech support package to resolve problems which the software package had. Not only did we waste our time converting, but the package did not give us the great, easy to access reports that we relied on with QuickBooks Pro. In order to switch back to QuickBooks Pro, we needed All Orders to track our raw materials in QuickBooks. All Orders not only tracks raw material inventory, it tracks sales orders, purchase orders, inventory, and bill of materials, work orders and ship docs. It does all of this and in perfect harmony with QuickBooks Pro. I’d like to also mention that All Orders tech support is the best I have had in the 15 years of running computers with my company. All Orders is also the easiest software that I have had to learn and everyone in our office who uses it has nothing but praise for it. Last month we had the opportunity to try a new product from Number Cruncher call Pocket Inventory. This new product allows us to use a pocket pc with Pocket Inventory on it to ship orders, update inventory, receive PO’s and transfer inventory. It also has the ability to use a hand scanner for bar coding. It’s so easy once you enter the data on you pocket pc. Simply put it in your cradle and sync it with your desktop computer. All the data goes into All Orders which syncs it into QuickBooks. My life is getting easier every day, thanks to Number Cruncher.

It was not practical to enter all those shipping addresses in QuickBooks because each address would have to be set up as a customer. NumberCruncher provided the solution. In NumberCruncher you can assign each QuickBooks customer an unlimited number of shipping addresses. In addition we needed to integrate a custom Access application with our order entry system. Again NumberCruncher provided the solution by allowing us to link our custom application to theirs. NumberCruncher support has been there when we needed them. The best solution for the small to mid-sized manufacturing business
Mike Kalavitz - Eltek, Inc., Grand Rapids, MI

[08/25/2005]  We have been utilizing Number Cruncher All Orders at two of our manufacturing businesses for nearly a full year now. I can not put into words how happy we are will the overall performance, ease of use, and support we have received.

Just about a year and a half ago, one of our businesses invested over $25k+ into an accounting package and inventory control package. After using the software for only 6 months, we finally came to the realization that although it was very powerful and could do what we needed in the long run, the implementation and on going maintenance costs were very very costly to a small business. We literally had to have someone on staff that was in charge of the system and when they did not know how to do something they would have to contact support and pay $150-200 per hour...OUCH!

As a solution we turned to Number Cruncher which interfaced with QuickBooks 2005 (which we already were very familiar with) perfectly and has many of the powerful functions and capabilities that our other more expensive software has. We now have several of us that can operate the software with ease and do not any longer have to depend on one person. We can do everything that a company of our size requires. Maybe more importantly, we have found that when we have a technical question or issue, the people at Number Cruncher are there to help as they realize our success is their success. Number Cruncher is open ears to new suggestions and ideas for upcoming versions of their software. Nice job Number Cruncher!

[08/24/2005]  I switched to NumberCruncher about two months ago and it’s helped us make incredible improvements to our business. I searched for nine months to find a manufacturing software solution that was robust, user friendly, and cost-effective for a small business. Several of them looked good on the surface but none of them compared to NumberCruncher once you got down to the details. Don’t misunderstand me, NumberCruncher isn’t perfect but I’ve never encountered a piece of software that is.

So how has NumberCruncher helped us? Here are just a few of my favorite features:

The bills of materials are easy to add/modify, make it simple to run cost scenarios, and allow me to completely understand my material and labor costs. I’ve now have complete confidence in our manufacturing costs.

The sales order list features make it very efficient to respond to customer inquiries. With one click, I can sort by customer, sales order number, or customer purchase order number. Then I can simply look at the sales order history and see which items shipped and which are still on backorder.

The custom reporting tool is fantastic. I’m by no means an advanced PC user but I’ve been able to easily customize our shipping docs, purchase order docs, and back order reports, and inventory reports to meet my specific needs. Information is power and NumberCruncher provides me tools be better manage our workflows and inventory.

Integration with QuickBooks. It seems like every bookkeeper knows how to use QuickBooks, so it helps improve the learning curve for new employees.

Finally, the NumberCruncher support staff is responsive and helpful. Change can cause stress in the office and the people at NumberCruncher provide us with some piece of mind as we learn to use their software.

Please feel free to contact me if you have specific questions about my experiences with NumberCruncher.

[04/07/2005]  We manufacture wood dash trims and kits. We needed to keep track of orders as well as manufacturing processes and components. Our bills of materials are always changing and we needed to see costs as we built our items. In All Orders, you to can add service items to the component list representing processes. We can then set the status to 'Complete' to indicate that part of the job was finished. The work order is great because you can build as many items as you want at the same time. Finally, we needed an RMA system and All Orders has that as well. We think All Order is an excellent value and we highly recommend it.

[12/15/2004]  I am an independent consultant relatively new to the QuickBooks world (Enterprise Edition, 10 users). A customer of mine needed an inventory system capable of supporting multiple warehouses (route trucks) and easy data exchange with a custom route management application being written, two areas where QuickBooks standalone came up short. I reviewed several integrate-able multi-user apps and settled on All Orders (10-user version to match QuickBooks). Before the purchase, I posed numerous questions to NumberCruncher and they were more than helpful and had a "can-do" attitude even if it meant I would need development help and advice for the custom integration. In my experience, a supplier's attitude usually proves to be as important as the software features in the long run. I was sold. Installation of All Orders & integration with QuickBooks has been a breeze, users have become functional with minimal training and the All Orders software has exceeded our expectations with its performance, ease of use and flexibility. It is a dynamite combination with QuickBooks Enterprise Edition. A couple of suggestions I mentioned in the beginning have even appeared in the new version 3 recently released. How refreshing to have a software vendor that listens to user suggestions and actually does something with them. In case anything about this review may be unclear, please consider it to be a glowing recommendation for the NumberCruncher organization and the All Orders product.

[10/08/2004]  I am a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor for a CPA firm that has referred two of our manufacturing clients to use this program. I have loaded & setup the software, which I found very easy to do. My clients had difficulties with unit of measure conversions for their inventory within QuickBooks. NumberCruncher more that met their needs. It is simple to create your Bill of Materials (assemblies), as well as change them as needed without any difficulty. I would recommend this software to any manufacturing company looking for advanced inventory control and management.

[02/19/2004]  We are computer manufacturer in Brazil manufacturing 4500 systems per month and we are using QuickBooks (Canadian Multicurrency version) and NumberCruncher to run the whole operation. If there was a Good match for QuickBooks and manufacturing, NumberCruncher is the right product match; We've been using NumberCruncher Work Orders and now All orders for a year now and we've seen dramatic improvements in both features and performance; the level of customer service provided was outstanding @ all times solving issues promptly and efficiently, we are constantly giving feedback for more useful features and we see many of them being added. NumberCruncher maintains the user friendly operation that made QuickBooks so popular, we definitely recommend this product for those interested in adding manufacturing capabilities for QuickBooks.

[11/16/2003]  We are a small manufacturing company. We looked at 12,000 to 20,000 dollar Mfg. Management systems, but they were just too much. You bought the "basic" program, and then bought the “specific” modules to make the things work for you. Number Cruncher Work Orders was a God send. We have control of the entire process now, and at price so low that I don't see how they are making any money!! If you want an all-inclusive Mfg Management program, look no further. You would be crazy not to consider this software. I know I sound like I am raving about this software, and maybe I am...it's that good!

[09/25/2003]  We have been using NumberCruncher with QuickBooks for about a year and a half. We are a small manufacturer of framed art and this software has been a lifesaver in helping us plan and keep track of our production. Especially helpful is the batch purchase order function that helps to order the component materials needed to produce items on order (providing your inventory in QuickBooks is correct. Its integration with QuickBooks has been near flawless; at first we were concerned that allowing another system access to QuickBooks would compromise our critical accounting data but we have had no such issues. NumberCruncher does still fall a short of perfection. The software seems to have some funny bugs that, though they don't directly affect its functionality, do not work as they should. We would like to see improvements or even the ability to customize the work order template (as in QuickBooks) as the current work order printout has all the information but it's layout is difficult to read.

[08/28/2003]  I'm a new user of Number Cruncher and as such I had a lot of questions about using the application and other MRP issues. I called several times and received prompt, competent, answers to my questions. I also requested a customized deficiency report and that was added in the new ver-2.06 update. You guys are awesome - thanks for all the support!!!!!

[06/23/2003]  I found Numbers Cruncher Work Orders a superior solution to our inventory tracking and job costing requirements at an oustanding price. We are a woodworking manufacturer providing store fixtures for a number of clients, so while we use a limited number of fixtures as the basis for production, virtually every job is customized in some way, rather by finish, size, number of shelves or some other variable. The ability to create a bill of materials and then edit it on the fly gives us both the consistency and flexibility we require. And Work Orders has worked in both major areas we look for results: we are able to track inventory and anticipate what items we need to reorder from vendors in order to keep stock available for all current productions, and we get accurate information on job costing at the end of the production process. What has been especially helpful to us, however, has been the excellent assistance we have been able to find from Numbers Crunchers when we had questions or faced challenges. Without exception, we found people who both knew the software and had an understanding of the manufacturing process--which meant they not only knew what the software could do, but they understood what we wanted to get out of it, and they were ready with helpful suggestions to help us get the most of their product.

[06/05/2003]  New to the MRP process, I needed to find an easy-to-use package that solved the basic resource planning questions, but also integrated with QuickBooks Inventory. One of the outstanding features of NumberCruncher is its complete integration with QuickBooks. And since NumberCruncher looks and acts like QuickBooks, there is a very low learning curve. Adding the Bill of Materials was quick and the reports were immediately useful. After 6 months of use, I'm still quite happy, especially since they've now added Lot tracking! And support has been great too -- comprehensive answers to all questions.

[02/19/2003]  Work Orders software keeps QuickBooks in control. Other more expensive software takes so much over for QuickBooks that the accounting almost gets lost being reduced to a payroll tool. Work Orders gives QuickBooks just enough support that accounting did not have to be retrained. Engineering just provides the support through Work Orders to keep inventory control in place and automated.

[02/05/2003]  I work for a company that does outsource manufacturing. So, we don't have heavy MRP requirements, but we still need to track Bills of Material and material relationships. We have been using NumberCruncher for over 3 months now and it has greatly helped us organize our materials and view costs. If it was not for NumberCruncher, we probably would be looking for ERP software right now to replace QuickBooks.

[09/16/2002]  Until NumberCruncher work orders, we had no way to effectively track our manufacturing process. Work Orders is a well thought out an elegant solution that fills a much needed gap in QuickBooks functionality. The authors have targeted exactly the functions that were missing from QuickBooks, BOM, Component and Work order tracking, and come up with a simple yet effective solution that greatly enhances QuickBooks functionality. The technical support team is excellent and diligent ay solving problems as the product evolves. A+

[08/04/2002]  Allows us as a manufacturer to order and to stock, keep visibility of work in progress and track its progress. Good finish and raw material inventory control. Good for simple bill of materials to multiple levels which are quick to create. With the printed work order we can track sub-contracting work and sub assemble situations. The interaction with QuickBooks works well and provides a low cost, easy to operate system for customer service. Looking forward to the RMA portion of the system. Overall good performance.

[04/30/2002]  I've been using Work Orders for about a month (and I'm new to QuickBooks also) and so far I find it invaluable and very easy to use. With work orders I can easily integrate inventory management into QuickBooks. Without it QuickBooks would have had limited application for my business since I manufacture a complex line of products. Before finding WO - I really struggled with how I could manage my inventory without a lot of gerryrigged code and exporting excel spreadsheets. Specifically I am using Work Orders to create a bill of materials for all my products. As I make and sell product, the software automatically reduces inventory of the finished product and the appropriate components. The software also enables production planning; and when your product is ready an invoice is automatically created in QuickBooks. And if you're dillengent about recording your P.O's - you can see what materials are on order, in production, and inventory. The technical support so far has been fantastic -- my questions are quickly and thoroughly answered. So if you manufacture a product -- or assemble finished goods with multiple components -- you need Work Orders.

[04/17/2002]  I have finally found a solution to my manufacturing business’s use of QuickBooks. In the past few years I have tried to use QuickBooks for my small chemical manufacturing business. Until now I hadn’t found a simple, affordable way to integrate my formulas, create work orders and account for inventory for all my detergents. Numbercruncher WorkOrders software, although very new, has shown great promise. Support is fast and very helpful. I am looking forward to working with the Numbercruncher WorkOrders Program now and as my business demands change. Thanks Numbercruncher!

[04/01/2002]  Work Orders makes manufacturing with QuickBooks so much easier. The user interface is so easy to use, it looks just like QuickBooks. The unlimited items on the Bill of Materials allows us to account for every component. It interfaces so seamlessly with QuickBooks, automatically syncing purchase orders and item inventory. One neat feature it offers is the ability to pull up a window that allows you to see what components need to be ordered to complete the work orders entered in the system. From this screen you can create a batch purchase order to create all of the PO's for multiple vendors, with just the click of a button. All of this is then synchronized with QuickBooks! The support offered with this product is excellent. The Number Cruncher staff was very prompt in answering questions both by email and by phone. As a member of an Accounting firm's IT Staff, I have tried many other manufacturing add-on applications and workarounds. This is by far the best product I've found. And have already recommended it to several of our clients. I would definitely recommend this product!
