[10/02/2008]  My experience with this company has been way above any expectations I've had with a company. Their product works great for my needs, their support staff is INCREDIBLE, and they get things done quickly. Very impressed and happy to come across the great people at Smart Scan. Our company is a gourmet snack and candy manufacturer and wholesaler. We ship to many small retailers and about 20 large retailers. Our larger retailers require sequenced case labels for each item they order with lots of the item details and Purchase Order information on each label. Initially I had to create an excel data base of the products ordered where each line on the database represented a label which would then be copied to the number of case labels needed and numbered in sequence (1 of 20, 2 of 20 and so on) The data would have to be manually entered from a paper Sales Order or Invoice for each item ordered then using the database I created I would do a mail merge with Microsoft Publisher and print to our thermal printer. Creating 100-5000 labels per order with multiple items this way got to be very time consuming and slow. I needed a solution that would connect to our QuickBooks company file via Invoice, Sales Order or Purchase Order number and pull the items, amount and details of the order into a database that connects to labeling software and automates the whole process of printing the labels. Label Link is intended to automate the process of printing labels for inventory purposes but has enough features to accomplish what I needed. Set-up was easy with a little guidance from their great tech support agent.
