big and bulky

[11/15/2011]  I tried for too long to get this to work for me, but I just couldn't take it any longer. After spending more than a month and a lot of money to setup my company and customizing my interface for my company, I finally got it to work. The problem is that the software is so powerful and flexible, too much can go wrong and did. If I wanted to add or remove sales reps, it didn't just pull them from QB, I had to manually correct that. Fail #1. It wouldn't figure out credit memos in a different month that the payment. Fail #2. It couldn't find payments before the invoice (like a credit card charge a day before the shipment). Fail #3. Also, when my computer crashed and I had to set up the file on another computer, I just couldn't make it whole again. Fail #4. I just take my reports from QB and use them to pay my commissions now. I don't have the same kind of audit control that I had before, but it is simpler, easier, and cheaper that before. The support was fair; they tried hard to accomplish my surprisingly easy requests, yet still couldn't do it.

[09/30/2011]  The program is very user friendly in the fact that once you have all your commission rates and items set up the calculations are done correctly all the time and changes are very easy to incorporate. The data extraction from quickbooks works very good and takes all of the manual nuances associated with other types of software on the market or with using a spreadsheet to calculate each commission leaving your sales team at the mercy of the chance of human errrors occuring and thus losing commissions or sales. The implementation was very easy and the customer support is very helpful and knowledgeable to get you quick resolution to any problems you may incur.

The entire process was very seamless starting from my intial inquiry about the product. My intial salesperson Gopi, went over all the benefits and possible drawbacks (there were few) of the service and immediatly understood my needs. I felt very little pressure in purchasing, and Gopi was very patient becuase I did call him several times with questions making sure the product was a good fit for me. Once we signed on, I didn't have to repeat my needs all over again to the implementation team. They understood everything I needed, set everything up and I know I can call them if any issues arise in the future. Thanks for getting my commissions manageable, on track and on time.

It's easy to add and delete eligible sales reps. We pay our commissions weekly and it takes only a few minutes to import info from Quickbooks and calculate commissions.

[12/02/2010]  In our business we sell oil and gas related equipment and want to provide commissions based on the profitability of jobs. The commission is split between a number of outside and inside sales people depending upon the role of the sales person on the job. Commission is paid out based on the date final payment is received. Previously we were calculating job profitability and the commission allocation in a spreadsheet. This required a lot of time and effort to complete and maintain. After a little bit of research we found QCommission. We spoke in depth with their team on how we would like the commission structure to work. It took a few months of back and forth to get our objectives in line with what could be calculated. We needed to add some fields into the customer set up for commission allocation. We also had to go back through open jobs and make sure they were properly closed. With QCommission we do some additional tracking up front for allocating commissions to the payee. When a final payment is received, the job is closed. We then import this data into QCommission. QCommission calculates the commission and allocates it to the individuals. We have certain items that are not commissionable and we add an extra calculation for shipping costs. From here, the calculations are exported to a spreadsheet that can be printed out for management and for the payees. QCommission handles all of this complexity in a fraction of the time previously spent. It also provides us with commission reports for each payee and for management.

The commission rate varied based on Gross Margin Percentage and the sales commission agreements included a draw payment. We were looking for a solution to automate this complex commission calculation when we attended one of the free webinars provided by QCommission. We were impressed with the features of QCommission and thought it could be the solution they were looking for. Soon after the webinar, we engaged the QCommission sales team to get started with implementation. The Implementation team worked very closely with us to implement a complete solution to the best of our satisfaction. The team is always willing to help whenever we need them.
