[11/02/2008]  The Pocketbooks software allows me to access my QuickBooks info in the field and has proven to be a valuable business tool. My only complaint has been an issue with Pocketbooks while synchronizing data with QuickBooks Pro. The synchronization process locks up frequently and posts various messages ranging from “server busy messages” and “system resource exceeded messages”. I was able to speak with Pocketbooks tech support several months back about this issue. They recommended doing a verify and rebuild prior to synchronizing data and to limit the history. This was somewhat helpful but prevents me from viewing my customer history; one of the most important features I need for my business out in the field. I received an e-mail from Pocketbooks tech support back in June and was told the issues I was having were due to “an error occurring in QuickBooks itself “ and that they had submitted a report request to Intuit. It is now November and I have e-mailed and phoned Pocketbooks tech support several times and they do not respond. While I feel the Pocketbooks software has great potential since it is only partially functional I would not recommend this product and I give their tech support a failing grade.

[03/26/2008]  Been using v8 for about a month. Emailing invoices is very handy. Data transfers are very easy. Never an issue with info going back. Would not leave the office without it. Support has always been great. I originally used PocketBooks 2002 with my QuickBooks 2002 and upgraded when upgraded QuickBooks - 2.5 in 2005 and now v8. The support response has always been quick. Definitely recommend this one.
