[05/13/2009]  I cannot tell you what a timesaver this product is for our companies. I have two landscape construction companies; one for union work and one for non-union/prevailing wage work. Sunburst has developed a product that works seamlessly with QuickBooks to make weekly Certified Payroll a breeze. From my experience, I can say that they work tirelessly to update their product and keep it current with our ever-changing construction requirements environment. [06/03/2008]  This product cut my time on certified Payroll in half. It also cut my time on benefit reporting to the union by about half. It is user friendly and if you need extra help you get very quick response from Sunburst. They are also very helpful with QuickBooks solutions in relation to this product. The training videos at their website are very straight forward and tremendously helpful. We bought the work comp module for QuickBooks in order to be able to use Certified Payroll Solution and also received some help from CPS with some questions about the QuickBooks w/c program. Great Product - I love it!

[03/24/2008]  Certified Payroll Solution by Sunburst Software is exactly what you need to prepare payroll submissions for your US Department of Labor jobs. The format follows the WH-347 exactly. Listen to the four videos and follow the steps outlined by Nancy Smyth and you will quickly be generating a certified payroll. I, along with a CPA staff, spent weeks trying to generate certified payrolls to no avail. With Sunburst's Software I was generating certified payroll reports within five hours. It's great! [04/10/2007]  I just want to say that "Certified Payroll Solution" is everything it is advertised to be. It literally took approximately 5 seconds to process my Certified Payroll Reports using my Payroll Data in QuickBooks Construction. The reports are much neater and professional looking and the worry of transposed or incorrectly totaled figures is gone. I process Certified Payroll for 5 separate jobs currently with numerous employees working some hours in all 5 jobs. Certified Payroll Solution transferred all the information perfectly and all I had to do was print the form and mail I am so thankful to have found this program

[02/07/2007]  We are a specialty subcontractor working on commercial projects. Previously our certified payroll reports were done in Excel after the data was processed in QuickBooks. This program has eliminated the need to reinput the time and wage data. After payroll is input we proceed into the CPS to generate our certified payroll reports. Processing the reports is now just a matter of a few clicks and the report is ready for printing. We also found the support of Sunburst Software to be outstanding. Ben at Sunburst sent us many emails and spent quite a bit of time trying to resolve a glitch we had during implementation. Turns out the problem was with our system and not their product. I would recommend this product for any contractor in need of a certified payroll reporting solution who is using QuickBooks.

[06/27/2005]  Anyone that has ever had to manually produce Certified Payrolls knows that having a software product to produce them for you nothing short of a miracle! Sunburst Software Solutions not only has saved us time and frustration. The CP software has actually increased our profit because we no longer have to have a $10.00/hour employee do them. Our company works on 60-80 State and/or Federal jobs at any one time...and having to produce at least two copies to 20-30 vendors was a nightmare. The customer service I have needed has only been due to operator errors and it was the fastest, most efficient customer service I have ever had. I actually talked with one of the owners! If you use QuickBooks and have to produce Certified Payrolls, regardless of how many jobs your on, Sunburst Software Solutions Certified Payroll Software is the only way to go.

[06/24/2005]  Before finding this product, I would spend hours gathering the data, calculating the hours and wages, and filling out the report. Now, with CPS, I am done in minutes and reports are submitted on time! I'm usually very skeptical when purchasing a new product simply because of the horrors of dealing with support if things don't go right. The few times that I've needed to contact support with CPS have been great! I've never been put on hold, support is friendly and certainly goes above and beyond to make sure that things are working right, and on the occasion that I've needed to leave a message I always get a return call promptly. Thank you CPS for taking the horror out of tech support! The variety of reports that you can run are sure to cover any situation. A lot of the projects that we work on require more than the average WH-347, such as local resident hiring reports and company wide hiring as opposed to job specific. CPS makes it pretty simple to run these reports without going through a lot of hassle. With the version allowing you to run CPS while leaving QuickBooks open it's simple to check any mistakes made in QuickBooks that may show up as errors on CPS. Once again, a great time saver. Overall, this product has freed up several hours each week and has allowed me to accomplish even more... and the boss thinks I'm a genius! Thanks Ben & Nancy.

It has everything we need and with just a click of our mouse these complex reports are completed in minutes. Any questions we have are quickly answered by the software producer, Sunburst Software with either a quick email or call. Changes are easy to make and it works very well with our QuickBooks program, no problems at all. [04/21/2005]  Never done a review of a product before but with this one we have to !! WOW ! This is the only certified payroll software you will ever need! We have been using this product for our commercial construction company for over 4 years and have never ever had any problems! Our jobs are hard enough without dealing with software that doesn't do it's job and with "Certified Payroll Solution" you can count on it to always be correct and very user friendly. The company stays right on top of all the latest versions of QuickBooks and is pro-active with all their customers -- something you just don't find in today’s busy world. They really care about their customers and jump right in to help if you ever have any questions or concerns! We have sometimes had up to 9 jobs at one time that required certified payroll and this software picks up all the required information right out of QuickBooks and automatically puts it on the forms for you. They also make sure your forms comply with your specific state's requirements. We print Certified Payroll Reports, Statements of Compliance, and the system automatically prints a “No Work Performed" report if there is no time entered for that week on a specific job. We can't say enough positive things about this company and their "Certified Payroll Solution"!

Certified Payroll Solutions has made it incredibly easy to extract our QuickBooks data and put it neatly on the desired reports. [11/30/2004]  In June of 2004 our small construction company located in rural Northern Calif. did our first state job on a small school. We only have five guys working for us and we had never done certified payroll before. Obviously I was in a panic. I went online and saw Nancy's program, called them and ordered it. I updated my QuickBooks and my computer and went through the manual step by step. When I got into a confused panic I called Nancy and she worked me through everything step by step. We ran a few reports and it worked like a dream! We had no problems throughout the whole job and if I had questions, Nancy was always there to answer them! I would recommend this program to everyone! Especially new users like me!

The cost is very reasonable in comparison to other options we explored. After the initial setup we were able to print out certified payrolls effortlessly. Nancy and Ben were always helpful when we needed assistance. The level of technical support service provided outperformed the many other vendor used in the past. Easy to use, error free and it has saved me NUMEROUS hours and headaches that came with handwriting (and calculating) these reports. I have had the pleasure of working with Nancy at Sunburst the last couple of weeks on tweaking some reports for the State of Minnesota, and she has answered every question I have had and has returned my calls within hours. [04/05/2004]  I have been using Certified Payroll Solution now CPS for about four years. In the past weekly certified payroll reports were a real time consuming process. We typically have 10-15 jobs in progress that require certified payroll reports and filling them out manually or even on a spread sheet would usually become a half day or more ordeal. We purchased CPS and after about an hour setup it now takes about 10 minutes a week to process the 10-15 jobs and sign the reports ready to mail or fax. Problems with the setup and software are few however when we don't understand or there is a problem I pick up the phone and about 95% of the time Nancy or Ben will answer the phone and pleasantly answer the problem. I can only think of one time that I called and got the machine. I left a message and was contacted in less than 30 minutes. They are great to talk to for support and will take all the time needed to work out any problem even if it is not all their problem. I had a problem with networking CPS and Ben talked me through and stayed on the phone while I tested the fix on all of the computers on the network. We were on the phone for 50 minutes as I discovered when I got my phone bill. The great part is the support is covered by the nominal annual support fee. I strongly recommend CPS for anyone using QuickBooks and in need of certified payroll reports.

[04/03/2004]  When my husband's company decided to bid on public works jobs I was terrified. I was not only running my own business but also taking care of my 15 month old daughter. We had considered using a Payroll service but to our dismay they did not provide a certified payroll report. I searched the web and being a devoted Intuit customer for the last 14 years was excited about the product Sunburst Software Solutions offered. My husband called and was very impressed with the product but most importantly the tandem of Ben and Nancy Smyth, the owners. We immediately purchased the software and were on our way. I cannot rave enough about the program. First and foremost the manual was easy to read and extremely helpful. It not only set me up for the certified payroll but taught me a few things about QuickBooks that I didn't already know. When I had a question or was confused about something Ben and Nancy were always there to help. They are very polite, professional, knowledgeable and most importantly have a sense of humor. They are a small business as we are and they understand the time constraints and difficulties of running a business. Much thanks and kudos for the Smyths. Intuit has a wonderful partner.

[01/19/2004]  After using Quicken & QuickBooks for over 10 yrs, I did not want to go to an "integrated" Accounting system again. However, my new position working with constructors meant certified payroll requirements. Because QuickBooks does not offer this, I searched online and found Sunburst Software Solutions. I downloaded the demo file and worked with it on my QuickBooks file. I decided it looked too good to be true -- which almost kept me from buying it. Thank goodness I did buy it though because it is perfect for my applications. I learned how to set up my file with the demo. The instructions were invaluable. They not only showed me how to set up for CPS --but also how to set up for job costing. I work with a contractor in Nevada and one in Washington. It does everything for me exactly right. I had a few problems in setting it up on a network and with the unions but Ben or Nancy helped me through it. Whenever I have called, one of them answers the phone and always helps me solve my problem. Ben has even "walked" me through redesigning the program to tailor it to my particular needs. A couple of weeks ago, a prime contractor that we work with in Nevada requested an EEO report. I had never done one and was really dreading it. I couldn't believe it when I found that there was one built into CPS... Once again, it worked perfectly and saved me hours of work. I can't say enough about Certified Payroll Solutions. The program does exactly what it is supposed to -- no matter what state you are in. The support is unbelievable. I can't think of any other software or hardware company that is always there when I call and always has a quick solution. There never is an extra charge for support. Ben and Nancy are very patient, kind, and all-knowing. If you are using QuickBooks and have the need to do certified payrolls -- this is your answer.

[01/12/2004]  I have found this product to be very user friendly. It has allowed me to actually keep my job! I have carple tunnel in both hands. It was taking me three times as long to do my Prevailing Wage Reports as it was my payroll. Now, with Sunburst it is a matter of pushing a few buttons and the program and printer do the rest. It is wonderful. Also, I have always gotten a response on any question I have had the same day, with step by step instructions. I would highly recommend this product to all.

[01/08/2004]  Over the past three years I have been using another solution to provide me with paychecks and certified reports. If it weren't for Sunburst I would not have been able to make the transfer to the QuickBooks payroll solution, unless I wanted to do hundreds of Certified reports for thousands of employees by hand. This product is not only easy to use, it is correct meaning it follows the government form, which more than I can say for the other solution’s certified report. The support has been great!! After spending three years dealing with the other solution, trying to get them to correct their certified report to no avail, it was refreshing to deal with Sunburst who rewrote some of their program to fit my needs the same day I requested it. Finally, I had the pleasure of being the first client Ben and Nancy had every met face to face, what a great down to earth couple. Thanks for all your help!!

The Greatest time saver ever!

[12/31/2003]  This is the answer to a construction office! I used to spend hours filling out handwritten certified payroll reports for all our school jobs. This was becoming another full time job. Now, I input the information to create my payroll and this program uses my payroll information to create my payroll reports all with a few simple entries. Now I can use my time to collect money and keep on top of our jobs. Plus, I am sure the project owners are thrilled to have such legible computer generated forms to read instead of my handwritten forms. Plus the support Sunburst has offered has been excellent.. Very quick to respond to questions whether it be programming issues or just my lack of computer knowledge. They are really great.

I have found it very easy to setup and use. A complete set of step-by-step instructions comes along with the program and it is easy to follow. I have been in contact with Sunburst Software many times and they are more than helpful if you have any questions or problems...they even created a new form for me when I needed it! I highly recommend Certified Payroll Solutions software to anyone. It saved so much time and aggravation and I am assured that I will not make any errors on my reports since it takes all the information directly from the employees' paychecks! Number 1 in my opinion.

[09/08/2003]  What a find. After searching the internet to find some way to extract the payroll information for certified reports I stumbled upon this program. After trying the demo, I immediately got the boss to approve the purchase. I can say the service provided by Sunburst is over the norm expected for a software company. After getting the program and going through the manual (yes you need to read the manual to get a proper set up) I only had a few questions. When I asked them either via phone or email the response was quick and they answered everything. I used to dread doing the certified payroll and trying to calculate all the figures and hours. Thanks to this program it's now a breeze.

I now have multiple jobs, and this software is truly my "Solution" to handeling a multiplicity of jobs with a breeze. I have turned a grueling process into a troublefree experience.
