[08/11/2011]  I would like to say thank you ShipGear. You have been a great time saver in communication between departments, now rather than a phone call sales, customer service, accounting or whoever can look up tracking information with ease. I would also like to thank the Technical Support for giving me quick and precise directions on the options that we needed to change to fit ShipGear to our company needs.

Changed how we do business...

[08/31/2010]  I took over operations here months ago to find a myriad of gross operating inefficiencies and missteps that were a blackhole of company resources. Shipping our products to customers was no exception, rather, it was the defining rule. In the past, customer service employees would enter orders into Quickbooks, then packing/shipping staff would print multiple copies of the invoice, packing slip, etc and then shuffle them around while filling orders, ultimately leading to the shipping process; retyping all the information from the Invoice into UPS Worldship. Now, with ShipGear, simply entering the invoice number into the user prompt saves us HOURS of labor that was prone to mistakes. By hours, I mean...with 20-30 orders a day, it literally took over an hour to manually enter all the necessary shipping information. Beyond this, however, I'm no longer have to field phone calls from angry customers because they never received their package, due to entry error into worldship. I'm not paying to reship replacement products overnight across the country to then help customers meet deadlines, and the writeback feature ended our days of doubling back to enter shipping costs into QuickBooks and then print a delayed invoice. Any one of my employees in my office can ship products now (from the brightest to the "you-know-that-one-employee"), and I'm confident the items will arrive at their destination on time and without delay, thanks to ShipGear. I only have two constructive criticisms about ShipGear: First, is that it doesn't take care of ALL needed details for international shipping (goods, currency, description, tarrif codes, etc) which I have to take care of manually, adding to my daily schedule; not terrible, but not perfect. Second, is that ShipGear can't automatically distinguish between sales receipts and invoice shipments. After a couple clicks to pull up ShipGear from the background, you have to manually toggle between the two...which can be a pretty large inconvenience depending on the type of orders we receive here, and doesn't allow the program to truly operate sight unseen, which, in my opinion, would make it absolutely perfect. I worry about my guys making a few errant or curious clicks and screwing up the settings I painstakenly spent hours creating (honestly, a labor of love) when they have to switch between invoices and sales receipts. Perhaps placing the toggle on the Import field itself or providing two import fields, one for invoices one for sales receipts would solve this? Otherwise, this program saves me time, energy, worry, and ultimately, money each and every single month, and I am so grateful for ShipGear. I literally refer to our time here prior to this magnificent middleware as our "dark ages", and there is no doubt that it has already paid for itself in reducing our shipping errors, which I'm proud to say, there hasn't been one since the day I demo'd the product on 6/20/2010. Thank you for this wonderful product!

ShipGear-What did I do without it?

[08/24/2010]  We looked for a long time for a solution that would integrate UPS and FedEx to Quickbooks. We looked at several vendors and decided to try ShipGear. It only took us a week or so to know that we had found the solution. We are not sure how anyone that is shipping with UPS or FedEx can do it without ShipGear.
