[04/20/2011] We are very happy with BigTime . . . I feel very confident using it. It has saved me a lot of time each month, and I have been able to get away from mailing out invoices and now send everything via email, saving both postage, time and envelopes. BigTime Software is a great solution!

[04/07/2011] I’ve always been satisfied with my use of BigTime. It’s a very intuitive system that truly does –it-all. But to me the real magic of BigTime is in its reporting capabilities. The system has a built in report wizard that lets me customize the fields and data I want when I want it. BigTime has allowed me to remain in-tune with projects, jobs, and employees from anywhere, and to check in without interrupting productivity at anytime. I can’t say enough.

[01/19/2011] We chose not to go with BigTime because we couldn't get it to work (maybe that's not really a choice). Honestly, our company--not Edison's Attic--had the short-coming. The people at EA were nice, support folks were knowledgeable and the product was very impressive (features, QB integration, customizations). Unfortunately, we just couldn't fully-integrate our data, operations and processes. It was a really frustrating journey.
If you have a skilled management/accounting environment in which to deploy the BT system, I think you'll love this addition to your company. If not, I think you might have a lot on your hands.
Thanks to EA for trying to help us and for understanding our abandonment of the product...nothing personal, we just couldn't handle it.

[09/29/2010] Our engineering firm installed BigTime four months ago, as we needed something much more robust than what we were currently using for time & billing (we were using only Quickbooks). Since we have over 100 employees, we purchased the Enterprise Edition. First, let me say that the capabilities and options within BigTime are impressive, especially given the relatively small price tag. Also, the user manual and some of the available training material on their website were very well thought out and easy to understand. Furthermore, we have had generally positive feedback from the majority of employees in regard to ease of timesheet entry (we had tried another electronic timesheet product from a different company last year that failed miserably) and reporting capabilities. HOWEVER, there are a few things that anyone considering BigTime should keep in mind. First of all, if you have a large amount of data in Quickbooks and use custom fields (as we did), the information might not flow into BigTime as seamlessly as they (BigTime) would like you to believe. Because of this, we had to have a fairly major “customization” done by BigTime that cost us an extra (substantial) amount, and we had to do a lot more data entry than anticipated. Besides this fact, we had numerous other installation problems and continue to have ongoing technical issues, many of which BigTime support has not been able to figure out or solve. Furthermore, after our trial period was over, getting timely (or any) responses from their tech support team seemingly went downhill (even from our sales rep, as well). Because of the amount of time and money that we have spent on the BigTime implementation, we are hesitant to abandon it altogether, and we are hoping that their forthcoming software update will solve many of our problems. That said, I do feel that the product is overall user-friendly and adequate for most companies’ time/billing needs. But if you are considering purchasing it, be prepared for potential technical headaches and occasionally frustrating customer service!

[05/08/2010] I am a co-founder of a company called C2 Company, located in the Bay Area. We are a professional services company with 25+ billable engineers. Before we found Bigtime, we were using excel spreadsheets to manually do all of our time tracking and expenses. Additionally, all of our project by project details were shared on an adhoc basis. We did use Quickbooks to do all of our billing. We set off to find a better way to do this using recommended products in the Intuit Marketplace. When we found Bigtime, we knew we were on to something just by the name! We did some research, looked at the price, called Edison's Attic, and the rest is history. From the first call we made about March 2007 to date May 2010, every single call and email has been a pleasure from our standpoint. We test drove the software and had it completely integrated and rolled out by May 2007. All of our users are thrilled with it too. Time entry, expense entry is web based and easy to use. Our project management and accounting people love using it, and they use it alot by loading projects into it. It integrates into Quickbooks very nicely. Our sales people love using it as well to run reports on billable customer time. We have it running on a dedicated vmware instance and it just runs and runs with basically zero administrative effort. Any time we have needed support, usually because of a specific Quickbooks/Bigtime integration detail, working with Edison's Attic support during business hours means you will get a support person on the phone right when you call and your problem will be fixed right then. Every update we have had from Bigtime has worked perfectly and has added major functionality. I would give the company Edison's Attic, the product Bigtime, and each and every person I've worked with an A++++++++++++. It is the best $895 investment as a company! I would even go as far as to say they should be charging more for the product.

[04/28/2010] Big time has made managing project costs, time and billing simple for our traffic enginneering/planning consulting firm. Project mgrs can now review project costs in real time and manage costs more effectively for both the client and firm. Significant improvements in the time and billing process were realized in the areas of acuracy and efficieny. Our firm has been in business over 20 years and found Big time to be the best for our situation.

[03/29/2010] We have been using BigTime for approximately 2 years. The installation was fast and easy. We evaluated many of their competitors and still feel that BigTime is the right solution for us. However, starting in 2009, their support team is slow to respond to emails or phone calls. Plus, the answers provided aren't great. We will continue to use them for the remaining 2010, but unless their support improves, we will probably migrate to another solution.

We settled on BigTime because its flexibility and it was a perfect match for our diverse project and staffing needs in addition to its seemless compatibility with QuickBooks. Almost immediately from the time of installation we were up and running. The system is very intuitive and for the few times we have needed tech support to better understand features and functions, they have been very responsive. We are glad we selected BigTime.
