Customer Survey
The customer satisfaction surveys are web-based surveys sent to an IDN Developer's customer base. The survey is conducted and administered by an independent third party. Each survey consists of 32 questions about the company's product functionality, ease of use, technical service, and overall user experience.

Amazing in so many ways

[02/09/2005] We have used Realtrac for nearly ten years. Through these ten years of use we have found Realtrac to be the most powerful management tool we utilize. When exploring different management software packages, I personally looked at both ends of the spectrum in terms of price. Although Realtrac fell in the middle on price, the power it packs competes or surpasses the high end software packages. Not only is the software reliable and powerful, but the technical support that we have received for the last ten years far surpasses any level of support I have ever experienced in the software industry. Originally we ran a different account package with Realtrac. We switched to QuickBooks about a year and half ago and what an amazing and wonderful difference it has made. I am very impressed with how easily QuickBooks and Realtrac synchronize data from BOTH directions. I can enter customer information in QuickBooks and easily synchronize with Realtrac all of the information. Our daily export and import of invoices has been a dream come true compared to previous accounting packages. With the vast array of information, ease of use and reports available with Realtrac combined with the power of QuickBooks, we have to give credit to both packages for our success through the years.

[01/31/2005] We installed Realtrac at East Side Machine in Webster, NY in June of 1993. It has been an excellent system from the beginning for tracking jobs and expediting customer requests and was very easy to get up and running from the start. At that time East Side was an 18-employee shop.
Since then, we have grown to a 30-employee shop. Many items were put in place during that period. However, Realtrac has been a significant part of the reason we have been able to grow while still maintaining control.
We have had additional advanced Realtrac training and currently use the system for accurate job costing, managing on-time deliveries, and managing and expediting our purchasing needs. The ability to predict machine bottlenecks ahead of time to help manage our deliveries has been a significant benefit. We do a lot of repeat orders, and Realtrac has been a great aid for both predicting profitability and managing our continuous shop improvement program.
Implementation of the system has also aided in getting our ISO9000 certification. The process plans, inspection results, employee job transactions, material purchases and all the activity from the time of order to the actual delivery is accurately tracked. Our ISO specification in a lot of areas simply points to the Realtrac system to show implementation and traceability,
In 1995 we installed and integrated the QuickBooks system with Realtrac. This has enabled us to improve control of our accounts receivable and general ledger.
Tech support has been very good over the 12 years since installation of the initial DOS product. We currently run in Windows using the Windows XP client and server. The product has had numerous features and modules added since we started.
I would definitely recommend the system for small to mid size shops to help get better control and real-time management of jobs.

[08/12/2002] We have been using Realtrac in our Company since 1993. It has been an invaluable tool in helping us maintain control of our Job shop operations.
It provides us with up-to-date information on all phases of the manufacturing process. From scheduling to invoicing to costing, we know exactly where we stand on any job running through our plant.
Realtrac gives us accurate information to work with in our estimating department. We are able to avoid repeating money losing jobs. We also know how much we can take out of a job, if necessary, and still remain profitable.
We were very pleased when Realtrac added their exporting feature to QuickBooks. We were using another accounting software at the time, but immediately made the change to QuickBooks. The ability to integrate the invoicing has made life a lot easier.
I would recommend QuickBooks to anyone looking to get a handle on their operation.

[08/05/2002] Over three years ago we were using QuickBooks and investigating management systems for small job shops. We wanted a system that was easy to use and that would integrate with our accounting software easily. Realtrac has turned out to be a lifesaver. It was very easy to get up and running on Realtrac and the micro terminals make it easy for employees to log their time on each job. Realtrac allows us to see where a job is at any given time and check histories on repeat parts showing how many the customers ordered previously, where we bought the material, etc. Prior to Realtrac we had our job information in one software program which only showed that we had open jobs and then made our invoices in QuickBooks meaning we had to input all of the information again. Now we enter the information and print the packing lists and invoices through Realtrac and post them to QuickBooks in one easy step - no duplication. It has saved us hours of work. Technical support is just a phone call away and they're more than willing to listen to suggestions as well as problems. The few problems that we've had have been cleared up quickly and efficiently. Realtrac also provides some very useful reports that enable us to keep on top of things and has an inventory feature so we know what we have one hand. Realtrac was just what we were looking for.
